I fail to understand why this hotel has only got three stars. It has a restaurant, a spa, and a swimming pool. The staff at reception etc were most helpful giving out tips they had to make the most of our time in Vancouver. We had a Corporate Room and the size had to be seen to be believed. We had a three piece suite, corporate desk and dining table in the lounge and a massive TV on the wall, and a balcony. We also had a kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom with a second TV. To my mind it was an apartment not a room. It was clean and well stocked with kitchen equipment and bathroom toiletries. The bed was large and very comfortable. Although we were on the 26th floor it was still noisy at night with ambulances going to the Hospital next door. The views from our windows were lovely. We took pictures from the room of the sunsets over the mountains. All in all we really loved this hotel and if we are back in Vancouver this is the hotel where we will stay. The Hotel is a 10 min walk to the Canada Line station at Vancouver City Centre, and a 15 min walk to Granville Island. For the price we paid, this is second top of our list of best value breaks. The top spot on our list is a special promotion we got in London. Four star hotel for £20.12 to celebrate the London Olympic success.

a little older. not the snazziest décor. but, close to Robson Street and Davie Street. So, lots of great shops and restaurants. Staff seem very accomadating and friendly.
Bed seems okay, but I am a fuss-budget, gotta be really soft and fluffy for me !
Nice kitchen in my room ( 2108 ) .
Nice view too.
I think its probably a pretty good value for the area of the city.

Room Tip: try not to be streetside. its usually very noisy with traffic etc. or too close to the elevator.

Stayed this hotel for two nights. Location is excellent, just a few blocks from Robson st. and Burrard Skytrain station. Big Bus tour bus stop right in front of the hotel. Lobby is great and the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. As one of the previous reviewers aptly pointed out, the room was very old and outdated. Mattresses were old, especially the one in the sofabed. Barely impossible to sleep on it.
Serious problem was maintenance. The room was not thoroughly vacuumed. Dishes and glasses were not washed well either. Too many cracks around lamp fixtures and lighting switches. Facial tissues were not refilled on the second day... The biggest disappointment was its swimming pool in the basement. The water temperature was too cold to swim in throughout the entire three days we stayed in the hotel. I was told that they had a temporary problem in the water heater and would fix it soon. However, considering the "laminated" sign on the wall indicating the low water temperature, I believe this pool's water heater has been broken for a long while. It has a sauna but its temperature was just lukewarm. Anyway, the pool is really deep so do not expect to have your young kids play in the pool.
All in all, it is located in a very convenient area so must be good option for a short stay to explore Vancouver. However, it definitely needs some updating and better maintenance.

Stayed one night in this downtown hotel, good location, room clean and comfortable. We arrived at the hotel early before check in time, the receptionist was very helpful and let us check in once she had established there was a room clean. Wouild stay again.

We arrived with a tour group but were continuing as independent travelers for 3 more nights. The staff went to great trouble to allow us to stay in the same room so that made settling in very easy. The concierges Randy & Abdoul were very helpful in telling us how to get to the many different locations we wanted to visit. They also did our on-line check-in for our flight home. They made our stay very trouble free. Our room was very big with a separate kitchen which was very nice. The level of cleanliness & care of our room was excellent. Thank you Susila. The hotel is very central which makes sightseeing very manageable.

Room Tip: I found the 6th floor perfect even though it was to the front, there was not much noise.
