“Very nice”

This hotel is near the waterfront and is about 4 blocks (downhill) from Robson Street, the main shopping area. The harbour and convention centre are close by too. There are beautiful views of the mountains, which I imagine you get from rooms on the higher floors. My room was on the 5th floor so I didn't get the view, but I did get a big terrace. The only downside was that the dividing screens between the terraces were a bit low so there wasn't a lot of privacy. It also meant that I had to keep my curtains drawn the whole time. My room was quite small but as I was only staying a night I didn't have a big suitcase with me - there wouldn't have been room for one otherwise. The bed was really comfortable and the hotel is nice and quiet. No maids slamming the doors when cleaning the rooms, and no road noise. The furnishings are standard Marriott. A real bonus feature - for me anyway - is that there are sockets EVERYWHERE in the room. No more moving things around, unplugging the bedside lamp, alarm clock and so on. Why don't all hotels have lots of sockets?
There is a good gym with a smallish indoor pool. This is open 24 hours.
I didn't eat in the hotel, purely because there are so many other places just one or two blocks away.
And all the staff are so friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Room 516 has a terrace BUT is also by the lift (elevator). The A/C hum does drown out the beeps sign...

Very nice hotel, centrally located in downtown Vancouver. Easy access to the convention center. Beautiful views of the harbor and mountains. Easy access to restaurants, shopping and attractions. Very clean, organized, and good service. The only downside was the high cost, nearly $300 USD. In-room and lobby dining are expensive but nice to have just in case. I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

This place is, by far, the best hotel in Vancouver. The location is perfect, it is very clean and the staff is excellent. Everything you need to see is within a walk of the hotel and the dining options are great. Close by is Miku. (See review for this place!) Nice pool and great bar!

I stay here every time I travel to Vancouver. Get to know the staff, they are all very friendly, helpful and can really make your trip better.

Room Tip: Face the bay!

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. We always try to stay in Marriott hotels because we are Platinum members.

This is, without a doubt, one of the best Marriotts we have stayed in.

The reception staff were extremely nice and very helpful. Housekeeping did a superb job when cleaning our room each day. All items were re-filled generously including putting a free bottle of water each day in the room. The room looked spotless each day when we returned.

The rooms had wall to ceiling windows with amazing views. We didn't have a harbour view but the city view was great. We had access to the concierge lounge so we could see the breath-taking harbour views from there.

The food in the concierge lounge was delicious and generous and the staff were very nice.

The location of the hotel, in our opinion, was brilliant. Although we had a car it is a very short walk to the harbour.

If you are able to stay in this hotel, you must.

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour view if available

Pinnacle Downtown is a busy, large hotel, but staff are never too busy to provide excellent service. The Concierge level provides free internet. Very handy if you use the internet a lot while you are away.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the Concierge level. It will cost you a little bit more, but is well worth it if...

A great hotel, with almost everything. Spacious rooms, appointed very nicely. Great dining room and wonderful service, located right in the heart of the Vancouver business district. It's pricey, but it's worth it.

My family and I were in town for 4 nights.

I had a series of business meetings, then we enjoyed our March break in Whistler following.

A little cramped for two adults and two kids but we made due.

I love the location, close to downtown restaurants and easy walking to Stanley Park and the waterfront. So much to do and see, so little time!

The hotel has a great gym and pool area. Steambath is unique for a hotel, nice eucalyptus steam, great to warm the body up. Also big whirpool and a sauna - all in the pool area.

Very clean hotel and amenities and pool area.

I have stayed here about 12 times in the last 8 years. It changed ownership, but the vibe and quality remain.

I even see the same doormen are still around.

It's a great hotel, and if you can get a deal, take it, even if it's not the cheapest, it''s good value.

Restaurant is first class and a great coffee place just to the north side.
