We had just completed a trip to Alaska with a cruise to return to Vancouver, had booked the Fairmont Waterfront for an extra 3 days at end of holiday. What a great choice, "Gold Service" staff had breakfast waiting for us and we were soon taken to our room, cases followed in minutes. This was also my birthday treat and the hotel recognised this with a delightful plate of strawberries dipped on chocolate.....naughty but oh, so nice. Staff were delightful, assisted with booking a couple of excursions. Did you know this hotel has it's own garden and bee hives? Hotel has great location opposite cruise ship terminal, our corner room gave two views over harbour. Really didn't want to come home at the end of such a wonderful trip.

Room Tip: Corner rooms give two views for the price of one. Use the "Gold Service", great value and makes you feel even more special. Could not rate Spa as we did not have time to use this facility.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review The Fairmont Waterfront for TripAdvisor. I was thrilled to read that you enjoyed your stay with us on Fairmont Gold and also that you liked the strawberries for your birthday. It sounds like you had a chance to visit our rooftop garden and honeybee apiary, you may be interested to know that we have nearly half a million honeybees on our roof and that last year they produced close to 800 lbs of honey which we use in salads, desserts, chocolates and of course our Waterfront ‘Stinger’ lager, I hope you had the opportunity to try it! Thank you again for choosing to stay with us here at The Fairmont Waterfront, I do hope we get the chance to welcome you back on our next visit to our beautiful city. Warm regards, Drew Fisher, General Manager

The renovated waterfront view rooms are magnificent. Probably a bit pricey for just a family stay, but an amazing location. I would highly recommend it for anyone wishing to explore downtown Vancouver without having to rely on anything but foot power.

My daughter and I stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel Vancouver for a Mother's Day weekend. I arranged the trip through my travel agent Roger, through RogerKershaw.com and he arranged many perks including: $75 credit toward dinner, an upgrade on arrival (we got a waterfront view) and a courtesy chef appetizer on arrival, complimentary WiFi, and a free brunch in the morning. It all happened perfectly. The desk service was exceptional, and they whisked me through in no time. The room was lovely, and spacious. We enjoyed a walk through the hotel garden and a look at the honey they make on site. Proximity to our event at Canada Place was so close we couldn't believe it. It's across the street! We got to the hotel from Victoria via ferry then the Canada Line took us to the basement of the hotel. It was so quick, it was perfect. We are still delighted in the memory of it all.

I was very glad to read that you and your daughter enjoyed your time with us and that you had the opportunity to visit our rooftop garden and apiary. You may be interested to know that we serve an afternoon ‘hive’ tea in Herons West Coast Kitchen that uses the honey gathered from our honeybees in the house made pastries – the bannock scones are delicious! This was my first trip to Vancouver; staying at the Fairmont Waterfront certainly contributed to my strong desire to return! Firstly, the hotel is centrally located so it was easy for us to explore downtown, and catch buses to the attractions outside of the core (e.g. Capilano, Granville Island, et al.). I was impressed with the hotel upon arrival, as the valet had my room keys waiting for me as a got out of my car; no lining up for check in required (I think this may be a perk of being a FPC member, which is free to join so I would recommend it!).

As for my room, although it was only on the 5th floor, I had a great view of Coal Harbor and the mountains. The room's interior was beautifully decorated and seemed to have been recently renovated. I enjoyed the room's media centre, which allowed me to effortlessly connect my laptop to the room's large flatscreen TV to watch movies or play music. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience with the Fairmont here; on my next trip to Vancouver I will certainly be staying here again, or perhaps I'll try the Fairmont Pacific Rim.

Dear Guest, I would like to thank you for your TripAdvisor review of The Fairmont Waterfront. I was thrilled to read that you enjoyed our newly renovated Deluxe guestrooms, we are really proud of how they turned out and I agree the media hubs are such a great addition. You are correct that we offer curbside check-in for all Fairmont President’s Club members with a credit card on file, you may be interested to know that FPC guests enjoy many privileges including use of the hotel bicycles (perfect for a ride around Stanley Park), hotel car service and complimentary guestroom internet and local calls. I am glad that we were part of making your first trip to our beautiful city so memorable and I do hope we get the opportunity to welcome you back soon. Warm regards, Drew Fisher, General Manager

This hotel is perfectly placed for the convention centre, the cruise ship dock and for access to downtown, Stanley Park, and the ferry to North Vancouver. You don’t need a car to stay here. The Skytrain from the airport stops within 250 metres, and Vancouver’s great transit system takes you from the hotel to wherever you want to go.
The staff members were courteous and helpful. The room was large, well-appointed, with a great view of the cruise ships coming and going.
Naturally, being a Fairmont and being in this location, the hotel is expensive.
