We can't say enough about how impressed we were with our stay, especially the friendly service from the staff at the front desk. They really went above and beyond, not only with suggestions and advice in getting around the city, but also with accommodating us with luggage storage and parking. The rooms were immaculate, beds were very comfortable, and it was great to have a fully stocked kitchen. And the location was great, in easy walking distance to English Bay, or shopping on Robson Street. We would definitely stay here again!

I recently booked an Executive Suite at this hotel for a special event and was very impressed. Although there was a small misunderstanding with our original booking price, the hotel staff and the Manager were very understanding and quickly resolved the issue for us. We had requested an early check-in and although that can be difficult to arrange on a busy weekend, the Manager Michael and his staff made it possible for us. The front desk staff even helped us carry all our supplies to the room and kept the Bride-To-Be waiting downstairs until we had finished setting up. The Hotel itself is in a great location. Only steps to Davie Street and all the action of downtown but quiet enough for a good night sleep! The room was very spacious, well appointed and clean. The beds were comfortable and the room had more than enough space for our event and guests. I was very impressed with the service from the staff and the quality of the room. I have had a few bad experiences with other hotels in the area but that was not my experience here. Free parking for one car and continental breakfast was also a big bonus for our group. This hotel is hands-down the best value for quality in the area if you are looking for a Suite downtown. I will certianly be staying here again and I would recommend it to anyone looking for those little extras you can't usually find (or afford) so close to downtown like a seperate living room, a well appointed kitchen and dining area!

Can't figure out why our experience is so out of line with many of the reviewers here. Depends on your criteria for selection and satisfaction and clearly how you define "suite."

Ours in choosing a 2 night first time stay in Vancouver (traveling with car) was a neighborhood rather than downtown location and free parking - that we accomplished. But the rest was a mistake from the beginning.

Originally booked at least 3 weeks ahead on the hotel site. My experience with many (especially non-chain) properties is they will accommodate you on price if you see their hotel for a lower price online prior to the stay. In this case, I emailed - waited two days to get a response, Instead of a courteous response to my inquiry, I got a screen shot of their current rates with no response to my request for an adjustment. Should have been my first clue as to service.

We've stayed in hundreds of hotels of all types and I have never been asked to bring my tray with dishes, down to a mediocre (that's generous) breakfast - then wash the dishes or be charged a $25 kitchen cleaning fee! That should be in the hotel description.

The kitchen had a Keurig but you have to go downstairs and pay $1.00 for a coffee to use in the machine. Adding a yogurt to my breakfast was another extra $1.00. I don't mind bussing my table at breakfast or using a tray on a retreat - but not at a hotel where I have spent over $200 a night!

The "suite" is advertised as having A/C, but turns out it's only in the bedroom window. It was unseasonably warm and stuffy - and the desk told us to turn on the extra fan and open the window. When we checked in, the woman at the desk failed to mention that there was construction going on outside our living room window. There also was a hole in the A/C screen and the only way to cover is was to use the curtain which meant pulling it over the A/C.

Yes, the cramped 1970's era building sorely in need of renovation has close by access to the water taxi for Granville Island - and is close to Robson St - and yes, has free parking - but there is nothing about this property that would ever get me to come back.

Very spacious and clean suites. Excellent value. The suites were particularly nice for traveling with family. You can easily pick up groceries at the local store for preparing in your room. There is a TV in the bedroom as well as living room if kids want to watch their own shows. It works very well.

We recently stayed here on our one day trip to Vancouver. We found all the staff to be very helpful and accommodating. The free parking behind the hotel was nice. The room was extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable. We easily fit our 3 kids on the 2 sleeper sofas. The bedroom was separate, with it's own door. The bathroom is not in the bedroom, but just a step outside. The room had a true kitchen with a full sized dining table. Breakfast was included, which saved us a bundle. Because of the nature of the high-rise, there is not enough room downstairs for the guests to eat breakfast. No worries, we filled our plates with a great meal, and went up to our own kitchen table to eat. Only complaint (not geared toward the hotel or staff) is that our GPS sent us through Skid Row to get there (Hastings St).

This hotel is terrific! The staff at the front desk was so nice and helpful. They upgraded our room and got us in a few hours early. They helped us plan our day of sightseeing and bike rentals. The suites are a good size, perfect for our family of 5. The location is terrific. Quiet street but one block from very active street, three blocks from beach and easy walk to beautiful Stanley Park. Wish we had stayed more than just one night in Vancouver. Will definitely return to this lovely city and stay at this very same terrific hotel.
