“Nice hotel”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

I had a business conference here and stayed for 5 nights. Everything is fairly decent as a 4-star. The bed and pillows are the best. If I have to pick something not so good: the restaurant was just ok. One night we went for some drinks and snack food and waited 10 minutes to get some waiter. The food was just OK.

I stay in Vancouver a lot, this is one of my top 3. It's modern, in a great location and all the rooms I've had so far have had great views. The only fault I can find is that it can get a little busy in the elevators when there is a big conference on. Sometimes I've had to wait for a few to come and go.

Love this hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and modern. It's very close to Robson St and lots of good restaurants and shops. The Regency Club on the 29th floor is excellent. Great food selection and help staff. It was impressed with the elevators. You push your floor # on an LCD display and it tells you what elevator to go to. Once you get in the elevator there's no buttons to push, very modern. The shower was interesting as it had a shower head in the ceiling which took a bit to get used to. The hotel is a bit pricey as it's been said, but well worth it in my opinion. About $40 cab ride to the airport (no airport transportation offerred).

We stayed here in August. We had a corporate rate that covered breakfast and internet so we only had to deal with the cost of parking our car. I loved the elevators. you choose your floor before entering and are told which elevator to go to. The room key is an RFID key as opposed to a magnetic stripe so I did not have to worry about my cell phone being close to the key. The key also worked the safe. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. We were close to public transportation. The staff was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was delicious.

The Hyatt Vancouver has a great location (downtown, next to skytrain), great service (staff that will go above and beyond to help you), good food, nice room, etc. The only downside is the cost (e.g., $40/day parking, $15/day internet in room), especially if you're running an event - everything extra costs you an arm and a leg.

Visited Vancouver for an overnight and used Priceline to get a hotel. Was given the Hyatt as the winning bid. Arrived a bit before check in time and was greeted by the doorman/valet. Went to check in and was told the rooms were not ready but was offered 2 other rooms that were ready. Hotel was very neat and clean, many ammenities and in a great location right in the downtown area. Definitely reccomend staying here. If I had to give one downside it would be the cost for parking. You're going to have to pay no matter where you go, but $40 a day seems a bit high. It had unlimited in and out of the garage but still seemed much. Minor detail in an otherwise very pleasant stay.

Dear Jasons987,

Thank you for your recent review! I am glad to hear you had a great experience at our hotel, and that overall, you enjoyed your time with us. I did want to comment briefly about your feedback on parking. The parking rate at our hotel is comparable to other hotels in Vancouver, and part of the reason the prices seem high is because parking has additional parking taxes. The self parking fee comes out to $37.95 per night, but this includes $9.95 in taxes.

We look forward to being able to welcome you back to the hotel the next time your travels bring you to Vancouver.

Warm Regards,
Brandi

I was not very fan of Hyatt but after a couple of experiences I cannot be more satisfied. Hyatt Vancouver was not the exception. The service, the food, the room and in general the experience was spotless (well only the elevators were not perfect because in rush hour they were slow to service.)
The hotel is in downtown Vancouver, close of every good place to visit and dinner. If you are alone, in business of with your family this is the place to stay.
