A terrific, clean, friendly hotel. Not the biggest or flashiest hotel I've ever stayed in but it's charming and the 42inch tv and Nespresso machine in-room are exceptional extras. I'd recommend The Burrard to anyone and plan to stay here again.
I've given five stars based on the spec. It's not listed as a five star hotel so please adjust your expectations accordingly.
Few hotels in Vancouver offer free Wi-fi and free bike hire (helmets and lock included) and this makes The Burrard stand out.
Housekeeping staff always left a note, thanking me for the tip I'd left them. I do this in every hotel but have never received a thank you note before.

Room Tip: Go for the garden view, Queen plus or King room. Bigger and quieter.

We've been there for 3 nights and we really enjoyed it! Hotel is quite small, not many rooms available, but it is very nice. Wi-fi included as well as nespresso coffee!

room was fairly big while bathroom wasn't too spacious, but still very good!

No air conditioning system, but you don't need it even if visiting during the summer.

Location is very good and you can walk around everywhere very easily.

This place was created by taking an 50's (?) motor lodge and recasting is as a trendy boutique hotel. And it works. The rooms are fun, there's a lovely, almost tropical garden on top of the garage, espresso machine in the room, bikes available, helpful staff at the front desk. It's not a full-service hotel, if that's what you're looking for, but in other respects a terrific place to stay.

Room Tip: I would book a room on the inside of the courtyard, preferably higher up.

We approached The Burrard, not knowing exactly where it was, but were able to navigate the streets, and park in front. From the street, it's a throwback to the 50s. And I remember the 50s! But once inside, it is very contemporary, comfortable, and funny.
The little reminders about towels, linens, etc. are tongue-in-cheek. The interior courtyard is very nice, with decent music piped in. Parking below the hotel. Considering that the rooms are in the original foot-prints, they are comfortable and inviting, although a tad small. The location is excellent -- near Davie St. and not far from the shops on Robson. And, only a block or so from the Vancouver Art Museum.
All in all, a decent place to lay one's head for the night, or two.

Room Tip: Maybe, ask to be away from the street side.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It's fun and hip and cheeky and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Example: we were looking for a recommendation for a good place to grab lunch in Chinatown. The employee behind the front desk told us about a place he loved, but couldn't remember the name of. So he texted his girlfriend to see if she remembered (she did). A small act, but it was so appreciated. After spending two nights at the Hilton in Whistler, which is very nice but somewhat generic and "chain-y," the service and style of The Burrard was a fun and welcome change of pace. One of my favorite hotels ever--I loved it.

Stayed there for one night and enjoyed it a lot. Would have stayed longer. The reviews are accurate. I booked there cuz it was well located for a concert I wanted to see on Granville street. It was less than a 10 minutes. I was also able to catch a "hop on, hop off" tour bus on the corner.

Pros:
- Warm welcoming
- Accommodating staff (early check-in and upgrade)
- Clean and spacious room
- Good coffee machine
- Complimentary bikes
- Fridge
- Well located

Cons:
- Small bathroom with no counter space at all
- A little noisy (traffic on Burrard Street)

Overall, it's a nice and quirky little place that I would recommend to all my friends.

We stayed here for three nights with our dog and fell in love with this place. The location was great, close to lots of cool restaurants. There are Nespresso machines in the rooms - my husband's favorite part for sure. The rooms were very clean and the staff was really friendly. There's a quirky courtyard in the middle of the hotel where we spent some time with friends, which was really cool and different. The only complaint is the parking - if you can get away with not driving at all and just using the free bikes they have for guests, do it - the parking lot is tiny and awkward.
