My husband and I stayed here for four nights during our ten-day honeymoon in BC, and we really loved it. We were on the 10th floor in a corner room and had a great view of Robson St and the mountains in the distance. The room was really spacious and very clean, and the service was great. We had a rental car and kept it in the hotel garage for $14 a day, but you don't really need a car since you can walk to everything!

The hotel location really could not have been better, and it's considerably cheaper than other hotels in the area. There were a ridiculous number of restaurants on Robson St, Denman St, and Davie St that were all within a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Our favorite was Banana Leaf, a Malaysian restaurant on Denman St, which was also next to a great gelato place.

It's a great city for people who love walking everywhere, and the hotel is in a perfect spot for exploring. If you walk to the end of Denman up past Davie St., there's a beach with a great view of the mountains (great sunset spot). If you take a right out of the hotel and walk down Robson St, it'll bring you to Stanley Park. If you'd rather not walk everywhere, the public transportation is very reliable, with buses stopping right at the hotel every five minutes for Downtown.

This was a great hotel to stay at. Has excellent location, and the rooms are very spacious. The only thing I didn't like was that they don't offer WiFi. They do have internet connection in the rooms, but you have be plugged in. Which is fine, if I would carry a laptop. But I don't. I just have my iPod. And the reason I carry my iPod is so that I don't have to carry my Laptop. But anyways, if you don't mind not having WiFi in the rooms, then this is the hotel for you. Of course, there are other beautiful hotels as well, but their pricey.
This hotel, as far as price is concern, is in the middle. I posted several pictures. I hope they speak for themselves. When you check-in, try to get a high floor. Unless you are afraid of heights, then never mind. :)

We stayed at the Blue Horizon from September 2 to 8, through the Labour Day Weekend.
The hotel is located on Robson Street, about six blocks from the harbour at Burrard Inlet and in the middle of a very good shopping district. There are easily a dozen small restauran, inexpensive restaurants within a block. Stanley Park is about a half mile away. In other words, the location is very good for walking around the city.
The hotel has about 34 floors with 8 rooms per floor, each with its own small balcony.
The rooms are very large with 2 twin beds, though there is room for 4 of them, I'm sure.
There is a small restaurant on the ground floor.
The staff are efficient, friendly, and helpful and the price is moderate.

The rooms are large and have most of the conveniences one would need. Our room on the 27th floor had a great view toward the water and Stanley Park; however, parts of the room had been updated whereas others had not. For example in the bathroom there was a new corian-type counter top and vessel sink, but a old pink bath tub.

I would recommend this hotel for those who want a budget friendly hotel in a fabulous location. I trusted the reviews on this site, but was disappointed when I got there.

We arrived after a long flight from London and were very pleased with our accommodation at the Blue Horizon. We had a 6th floor room over looking Robson St and had some concern that it might be noisy - but the double glazing was very good - and it wasn't. The room was very large and windows on two sides excellent. We enjoyed the (small pool) in the early morning - waking up very early due to jet lag! We did not eat at the hotel - as there are so many excellent places nearby. Hotel excellent for all the sightseeing we did either on foot or by the local buses. We were joined by my sister and daughter after two days and their room was on the same floor and to the same standard.
The lifts were very slow and had a mind of their own. Once we pressed the button for the 6th floor we where taken passed our destination and transported to the 21st floor !
We would recommend this to anyone who wants somewhere central to stay in downtown Vancouver.

We stayed here after reading reviews through tripadvisor. We had just come off a 20hr flight from Australia and were very warmly greeted. We were very lucky as we were on the 25th floor with great views of mountains, harbour and city. Rooms were big and spacious, bathroom - don't try and swing a cat as a little cramped. The massage shower head was a great addition. Pool temperature not too bad but on a cool day it needs to be turned up a little. Restaurant was quite nice with good service. The only real downside was it was a little noisey, yes even up 25 floors. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to others.
