Lovely spacious clean and tidy rooms in a convenient central location. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable on my entire trip and I stayed in 3 hotels an 2 cruise ships so I sampled quite a few. The hop on hop off trolley picks you up right outside the door and the staff are friendly and very helpful.
This is a beautiful city and I enjoyed the stay very much. I wish I could have stayed longer.
The only minor complaint was a delay in retrieving the suitcases from the concierge. They were delightful young men but seemed a little disorganised on that day.
The air conditioning was a bit noisy but we just turned it off, we did not need it.
My view overlooked Robson street and nearby roof tops with nesting seagulls. They are huge birds compared to home. They fascinated me.
Do not miss Stanley park, it is wonderful.

Stayed in with a business group. Everybody had favorable comments. Try for a top floor room for the view. Hotel is almost invisible from the street, my cabbie actually missed it! I had a corner view of the mountains and the bay, plus Stanley Park. Lots of restaurants and shopping all in walking distance. About 10 min walk to the Skytrain Transit system ($4.00 & 35 minutes to airport), or about $38-40 cab ride.
Room had Queen Bed, desk, arm chair, mini-fridge, balcony. Great for extended stay. Elevators were slow when hotel busy, but not too bad.

Room Tip: Try for a top room with view of bay & mountains.

After two nights at another hotel that was very depressing, dingy and staffed with a one person front desk barely willing to lift his head to check us in - we walked into Blue Horizon Hotel. I spoke with Paul at the front desk and received excellent customer service and concern about our eagerness to secure a room there as soon as possible in order to get out of the current situation we were in. He took the time to call us when a room opened up for us. And when we saw our room and received the great service throughout our stay, we could not have been more pleased! I highly recommend Blue Horizon Hotel for its great customer service, value, amenities, decor, comfort, views, and location. Thank you!

Great location on Robson street ideal for all the ciries many attractions - the room was clean tidy
and spacious with all the amenities expected in this type of hotel - try and get a high room as the views of Vancouver are superb, the staff helpful and friendly. The hotel was in the last stages
of refurbishment, with only the sports bar open, and there was shenanigans goin on, but by now
(June) all should have been returned to normal.

Room Tip: Upper floors for best views.

A great hotel, close to Vancouver city centre, Stanley Park, the harbour, the beaches, located on a major shopping street with a relaxed country feel to it. The room (on 30th floor) had fabulous views of sea, mountains and Stanley Park, comfortable beds, well-appointed bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value, great base from which to explore Vancouver.

Room Tip: Higher floors have great views. A/C units noisy but not disturbing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Blue Horizon which I had searched for on the internet as I arrived into Vancouver. I didn't know what to expect.
We pulled up via taxi from the ship port having been on a 7 day cruise in a cramped cabin. We were welcomed by a friendly front desk staff and although the common areas were sparse, they were modern and adequate. The room was huge with awesome views, we were on the 11th floor out of 31, I cannot imagine any room not having a great view, Vancouver is so beautiful, the modern buildings, the water and mountains everywhere make it a very picturesque city. Every room at the Blue Horizon has wrap around windows, balcony and sliding doors, The room was well appointed, super clean, super modern. Loved it. Bathroom was basic.
The hotel has a wet area with pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Workout includes one each: elliptical, treadmill and cycle no weights or stretch area although your room is big enough for a solo yoga session.
Location is great you can catch a taxi right outside the lobby anytime, there is a sight seeing trolley stop right at the front door and everything is very close. If you are fit, a 15 to 20 minute walk gets you anywhere downtown or 5 minute cab if you are in heels or not keen to walk.

Room Tip: the architectural design of the building coupled with the beauty of the city make every room delight...

Staying in Vancouver and want to be downtown? The Blue Horizon is right on Robson and extremely well located for just about anything you would like to do. Granville Island, Stanley Park, ocean strolls, beaches, people watching, you have it all at a very reasonable price.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a mountain or harbor view, you won't be disappointed.
