Description: We are Vancouver's only First Nations restaurant. We specialize in wild fish, free range game meat and of course bannock, freshly baked daily. We use traditional ingredients that we prepare and present in a modern way. In our small casual bistro everyone is welcome as they are. In the spirit of First Nations' traditions, our intention is to provide a gathering place where the focus is on the people and the food. Inez (Nuxalk Nation) and Remi Owners

This was a great place to have dinner with my wife. She loves salmon and was very impressed with her dish. I had the halibut, which was served with creamed fennel and roasted red pepper sauces. It was fabulous. The wild game appetizer was very good and a great way to have tastes of several different items. We will definitely be going back!

Salmon n' Bannock is an absolute delight. This restaurant serves the best seafood in the universe! The salmon is like nothing you have ever tasted. I did not know how great salmon could be prepared until I visited this amazing restaurant. The halibut is the best I have ever had bar none. The only problem here is deciding what to eat. I have been here many times and every time the food, service, ambiance, and service has been nothing short of impeccable.

Every single detail in this place is conducive to a fine dining experience. From the moment you enter the restaurant you know you are in a special place. These are genuine people who truly put their heart into their work. The chef is a genius, creating works of art with seafood and fresh game meats. The desserts he creates daily are a special treat in themselves. The food is always fresh , and full of great energy.

I highly recommend this restaurant ! If there were 10 stars it would fully deserve that rating! I can't wait to visit Salmon n' Banncock again .

I've spent the last couple of summers in Vancouver and returned to this restaurant at least once a week. This year wasn't as lucky to spend the entire summer there. Coming back next Thursday for the salmon soup Q'luk and Arctic Musk Ox! Can't wait. Have already made the reservation! Excellent service, delicious food, easy to get to, lots of parking on the street. A real taste of West Coast food!

We were lucky to be served and advised by the owner. We had some great various salmon dishes as appetizers, with great white wine. The main meals were great, and the owner was kind enough to help us spend 48 hours in Vancouver, with to do and not to do. We were lucky to watch the Vancouver fireworks just after the dinner from the same Broadway street.

We were visiting Stanley Park and ran into the many First Nations displays and shows going on there. It was at the crafts table that I asked about a good place that she would eat and she mentioned Salmon n'Bannock! Well we made reservations for a the next night not knowing what to expect but excited about the opportunity of having game meat and a different type of cusine. There were 15 of us in all traveling. First off, Inez our hostess/server made us all feel welcomed right away and gave us a detailed explanation of what was on the menu and her recommendations. Many had the salmon which was very good, but others had the elk burger which was excellent and the haddock which was fantastic. The food was very good and different (loved the bannock and jellies!) but what stood out most was the hospitality and friendliness. We were made to feel at home and it really did feel like we were dining at someone's home rather than a restaurant. We were even offered some liqueur shots at the end of the meal compliments of the house. Inez is a perfect hostess and the chef even came out to talk to us for a while.

A definite place to try, but don't come in expecting steak and potatoes or chicken fingers!
