My wife and I went to a number of nice restaurants on our trip to Vancouver. The Teahouse is definitely one we remember well. Wait staff was very good. But it was extremely evident their chef/sous chef/cooks actually know how to cook. Everything we had seasoned extremely well, and cooked exactly as it should be. There was a lot of attention to detail. Portions are not large.

we sensed that we were encouraged to dine outside, not having reservations and perhaps our casual dress. None the less, the food was very delicious, the service friendly and the location is amazing, worth being outside underneath nice patio heaters. Trust us, worth checking out, try the dungeons crab eggs benedict. It will satisfy you for the rest of the day.

Enjoy!

My wife and another couple I hired a tandem each, cycled round stanley park and thought this place looked great for lunch. It was a complete disaster. The place looked classy, the staff were smart, but our waiter was the villiage idiot ruining his outfit with a pair of luminous sunglasses which looked well out of place. He took our order (sunglasses on) and got the two pizzas right, but my a vegan made her diet very clear and ordered Bruschetta which came covered in goats cheese and tasted very fishy. When we complained Leon did offer to change it, but she was completely put off at this stage having already taken a mouthful after scrapping the cheese off.

The other girl, pregnant and therefore not eating fish, ordered the Bruschetta and stuffed mushroom. Having just looked at their website to verify the name, see that the stuffed mushroom does say it has crab meat, but the menu at the restaurant does not mention it.

The manager came to apologise and said it would be taken care of on the bill, but we got the bill with some items still on it. After arguing our case for about 30 minutes we got this sorted out.

Service was the worst i ever experienced. If you're going to run a classy restaurant, get the staff and service to match.

Wow...we dine out a lot. Love the Vancouver scene for food. Service not always. This place gives you everything: Parking; Great, great service; food = so divine you will come back. No dissappointments here. Even on a cold winter night, they deliver. Fireplaces, accomodating staff, food that is above, above the standard (menu somewhat French Bistro standard, so everyone will find something!) Get the stuffed mushrooms....tenderloin was, I promise, one of the best and so moderately priced compared to our area. Love, love the team service. Atmosphere was lovely. You could wow your guests just for the gorgeous drive through Stanley Park. If you sit in the Atrium, you can see fabuloue trees lit up at night, but just barely. Very romantic. Wear something warn to sit by the window. Sunset, as it faces west, would be quite dramatic. Get engaged here!
