Wow...we dine out a lot. Love the Vancouver scene for food. Service not always. This place gives you everything: Parking; Great, great service; food = so divine you will come back. No dissappointments here. Even on a cold winter night, they deliver. Fireplaces, accomodating staff, food that is above, above the standard (menu somewhat French Bistro standard, so everyone will find something!) Get the stuffed mushrooms....tenderloin was, I promise, one of the best and so moderately priced compared to our area. Love, love the team service. Atmosphere was lovely. You could wow your guests just for the gorgeous drive through Stanley Park. If you sit in the Atrium, you can see fabuloue trees lit up at night, but just barely. Very romantic. Wear something warn to sit by the window. Sunset, as it faces west, would be quite dramatic. Get engaged here!

Based in Stanley Park, this is a great location to eat an evening meal. You overlook the mountain and when we ate there, we saw the sun setting and a couple of ships sailing by... It was a very nice setting.

However, the food was what I would class as poor for the prices that we paid. Expect to pay over $100 for a meal for TWO people (and that only includes one drink each). Our Salmon was overcooked, and it's a culture of "big plates, small food".

The service is friendly and we liked the people there. If they can sort out the food, it would be a great place - but for now... pretty average with above average prices.

I would not recommend unless you just want the experience of eating in the park.

Dined there April 27 (Saturday) with a 6:00 reservation. We were seated in the glass observatory area and the view looking out over English Bay was sensational. We had a very attentive waitress and thought the menu and wine offerings were excellent. We had no problems with service and felt it was one of the nicest restaurants we have ever dined in.

One warning....you need to purchase a parking ticket ($2 an hour) and post it on your car dashboard....parking is enforced.

The Sequoia Grill is operating in the lovely old teahouse in Stanley Park with lovely views over the harbor. The food was excellent, but the service was erratic. The maitre d' doesn't have a sense of how to seat parties to allow the wait staff adequate time to serve them and keep an eye on their progress. Nor does the front desk staff have the sense to pitch in and offer a dessert menu or get a check or take and process a credit card. This lack of interest and/or ability keeps this from being an enjoyable experience.
