“Perfect Birthday”
Reviewed March 20, 2014

We were celebrating a special birthday here at the Teahouse and it was truly memorable. We had the Lobster Roll - huge pieces of succulent lobster here! Really delicious. And also had the Sablefish- delicate moist, perfectly cooked with miso. And for dessert.. well lets just say the Teahouse spoiled us with The Chocolate Mousse Milano cake, Lemon tart, raspberry sorbet and watermelon wedges. Thank you Eli, Sandy, Sam, and Phil. You are the reason we come back time and time again.

“Lovely and quiet”
Reviewed March 15, 2014

What an amazing view of the BIG ships at anchor inthe bay! Great views of North Van , Point Grey and UBC. The food was good as well. I loved their Lobster Bisque. It is a lovely spot for a nice afternoon break in Stanley Park! The wait staff was so nice too.

“Lovely Sunday brunch after a drive through Stanley Park”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

The Teahouse has been around for about 40 years under various names. In its current incarnation as part of The Sequoia Group it has the good sense to offer a limited standard menu, a menu of seasonal specials, and do them pretty well. We had brunch standards: Eggs Benedict, Belgian Waffle, Smoked Salmon raft & the Montreal hash. The Eggs Bennie were excellent: really good Hollandaise sauce, the Montreal hash & Salmon raft got thumbs up. The Belgian Waffle was a little light on the fruit & cream - although the walnuts were a nice touch, I'd skip that option. With our brunch we had drinks and coffee: the Americanos were good (not go-out-of-your-way good, but certainly better than standard restaurant coffee). We made reservations for Sunday via Open Table - even booking six days in advance the earliest we could get was 12:30 - pretty popular for a "low season" rainy day. When we set our reservation we asked for - and got - a window table. Those sitting next to the window might actually feel a bit of a draft so consider where you sit.The fire place was going and with the light from the glass ceilings it's a great bright room: a good choice for a special Brunch and especially nice if you have company since you must drive all the way around the one-way road in Stanley Park to get into the Teahouse. Parking is plentiful and free. I'd like to recommend it for lunch but it's been too long since I've eaten lunch there: as for dinner - well, last time I had dinner there the food was good but it kind of misses the whole point of the views!

“Better than expected”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

Okay, it's not that I was expecting anything horrible, however, as a person from a small town, I've come to expect to pay too much for too little in Vancouver. The Teahouse in Stanley Park is an exception. Yes, I paid a fair bit for lunch, but it was worth it for the service and quality of food.
The staff were exceptional, and our waiter very attentive and friendly. Our drinks arrived almost instantly. It was not an inexpensive lunch, but everything we ordered was made with quality ingredients and was very tasty. I had the linguini con vongole and it was delicious. My wife went with the a la carte option, a nice squash soup, spinach ravioli, and dessert. The a la carte originally came with fish stew, but they were very happy to substitute a vegetarian dish for her. The chocolate dessert was to die for.
Located in Stanley Park, with a gorgeous view of the water, there is not much to complain about as for location. The atmosphere inside was not overly warm, but I think that if we had been there at a busier time, it would have felt a bit better, no fault of the restaurant.
Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and visit, and would not hesitate to drop a few bucks again to visit here. Ideal place for a nice afternoon meal with a significant other. NOT the place for beers with your hockey buds...
