“Sunset Blues”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

A charming spot and restaurant. The host and wait staff were most pleasant and perfectly attentive. The food was nicely prepared and served. The prosecco bubbly. The weather was perfect. I was given a very comfortable seat at a window table. I made the reservation weeks in advance trying to take into account the time that the sun might set. Ah, that is where I made a bad decision. If you get there too early as the sun starts to drop, you will be blinded by the sun. I have never been one who enjoys dining with sunglasses on, but without them I couldn't see my food! The light coming through my lettuce leaves, however, was beautiful! My advice is to check the Farmer's Almanac before making your reservation :)

“Very enjoyable”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

We ate an early dinner here after spending a day in the park. It was a great choice. The wait staff was great. The food and drinks were excellent.
We sat in what must have been the greenhouse and it was perfect! Beautiful view of the sunset.

“Great for visitors and residents alike.”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

The view from this restaurant is spectacular which warrants a visit, but in addition, the food was excellent. The staff were attentive without being overbearing and the prices were competitive with any other restaurant of this caliber. Overall, it needs to be on any visitor's must do list.

“Great welcome to Vancouver dinner”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Beautiful setting and wonderful service. I choose the Teahouse for our group welcome to Vancouver dinner. Great choice! We were seated in the "conservatory", whole wall of windows looking out over the bay. The staff was welcoming and attentive. We had prime rib and salmon as main courses. The beef was cooked to perfection. The salmon was fresh and flavorful. Everyone raved about the food and setting! Great way to start our trip.

“Come here for the view but not the food”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

We recently visited the Teahouse based on the reviews on Trip Adviser. Yes, the views were great and the ambience was nice but we were slightly let down by the food quality. Sure, the food was OK but it was not special in any way. We had the scallops and chowder as starters and both were average at best. Next we had the wild salmon special but i do not think it was actually wild salmon (judging by the color, texture and flavor). It was also only average as an overall meal.
The deserts we chose were cheesecake and creme brule. The brule was the best part of the meal and above average. In summary, nice for a special occasion but not a gourmet dining experience
