This was my first time having brunch at Le Parisien and I was really impressed by the quality. I had the duck eggs Benedict and they were amazing. I will go back for brunch many more times.

Tripadvisees, you may read reviews of the Cafe de Paris, Bistro de Paris, and Le Parisien. They're all the same place, probably different management eras, but thankfully as the name changes the important part of the experience remains the same. This is about as French Bistro as you can get in Vancouver. Enjoy.

Always wanted to go and enjoy the authentic French bistro experience. Disappointed on entrance at tired, very un-French decor and lack-lustre greeting. Lack-luster ambience - no catchy French accordion music, red gingham curtains, paintings of Paris on the walls etc. And gangway to kitchens and back door open and draughty without privy curtain. Thankfully, menu is authentic and includes French onion soup, croque-monsieur and croque-madame (with egg on top), quiche and pommel frites. Reasably-priced too. Not the trendy downtown lunch spot, but good for students on a budget who don't mind the slightly shabby interior

The service was charming, the beet salad delicious. But the entrees took forever (and there were no orders ahead of ours). When they arrived, we found boulliabase bland, presentation pathetic. My tiny portion of mushroom/spinach ravioli was almost laughable except I was dismayed. A few thin little raviolis, no garnish, just a half-ladle-full of pasta bits under some carrot sauce, all dwarfed unartfully in a gigantic plate. What was the chef doing all that time? Why did it take so long to make such a small bit of food? Atmosphere was nice (it's quiet, as business is not booming). But I left hungry, and I'm not a really big eater. Good service can't make up for food that's inexcusably slow to arrive and so paltry in quantity. Price was outrageous for quantity and quality.
