Smart, modern, very well situated hotel in downtown Vancouver. lovely bedroom with very comfortable beds, modern fittings and every amenity one would expect..
Excellent customer service in all respects. Satff were all friendly and very helpful. Very good cooked or continental breakfast included. Free international phone calls which was fantastic as we needed to keep in touch with our family.
I would happily recommend to anyone and hope to return one day.
The only thing we didn't like was the noise in the hotel bar which was next door so it put us off eating there and we went to find somewhere a bit quieter.

Stayed at the St Regis while visiting Vancouver recently. It didn't look much from teh outside when we were walking up but were we surprised when we went in the door.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful and our bags delivered to the room while we were checking in. The Rooms aren't very large yet you don't really notice, they are nicely decorated and the on suite bathrooms are very nice with large walk in showers.

There is free Wireless internet and free local notional and international calls from the room. They also rent Ipads if you want to use on in your room as oppsed to using the business center PC.

Overall the St Regis is a excellent choice to stay in Vancouver

The St. Regis hotel is very well located close to the main shopping streets. It was recently renovated therefore it offers good value for money. International calls were free during our stay, which we really appreciated. The access to the business centre was also free of charge. The staff is friendly and glad to help. The room was spacious and clean.
Breakfast is not varied (it has the basics) and the dining room is not as confortable as the other hotel facilities. They don't serve early breakfasts.

Hotel was nice and clean, but had more of a large hotel than boutique feel in terms of furnishings and details despite its small size. Room was much too small to be called a suite, and had a wall rather awkwardly separating the bed from a small loveseat to achieve "suite" status. Between the dark gray-blue wall paint, brown furnishings, low ceilings, and lack of light/windows, the overall effect was rather cramped and dark. At about $400 USD per night, there was nothing standout that made it worth the price. A brighter, roomier stay at the Westin or Sheraton is more my style but everything was booked. Staff were nice enough and gave meal recommendations although the Japanese place they sent us was bad to mediocre. I've stayed more enjoyable places for half the price in Vancouver/Whistler/Nanaimo and would keep looking unless you can get a great deal on a room.

Thanks for taking the time to review our hotel on Tripadvisor. While we can’t change your impressions of the hotel based upon your stay, we thought we’d add a little background information about the St. Regis Hotel Vancouver to hopefully give you a better understanding of some hows and whys.

The St. Regis Hotel Vancouver is an original brick heritage building from 1913 and as such was built long before glass curtain walls became standard. There’s a tradeoff to be made between glass and brick construction downtown—glass lets in more light during the day but also allows much more noise. Like many things, the choice to stay in a brick or glass building will be a personal guest choice depending upon whether light or quiet is a bigger priority.

Heritage hotels do tend to have somewhat small rooms than newer buildings, due in part to the thicker walls and in part to expectations at the time of construction. The interior of St. Regis was completely renovated just a couple of years ago and we reduced the total number of rooms to increase the size of each.

Décor is always a matter of personal taste and we’ve had many many great comments about our interior design that was done by Elaine Thorsell. We can assure you that we have worked hard to offer boutique experience to our guests with unique elements like original artwork throughout the hotel to room furnishings that have been reclaimed from the historic Hotel Georgia and painstakingly refinished by local artisans. We’re independently owned and operated and we're proud to be invited to be part of the CAA’s inaugural “Boutique” rating.

Since you were here in April, we’ve worked hard to continue to improve in any way we can. We’ve expanded our already-extensive list of rate inclusions by adding complimentary unlimited Worldwide long distance calling and upgrading our complimentary water to FIJI water. We installed Sony docking station clock radios so that Ipods, and smartphones can be used for in-room music and we’re responding to guest requests by installing an opening window in every single room.

While we understand that our contemporary décor and heritage construction might not be to everyone’s taste we hope you can see that we take your comments seriously and are working to make sure that every guest stay is as enjoyable as possible.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Yours,
Jeremy Roncoroni

The location was perfect. No need for a car, in walking distance of everything - great restaurants, great shopping stores, just blocks from the waterfront. The gentleman on the front desk was very polite, very helpful. The hotel room & ensuite bathroom was exactly like the pictures on their website - Really tastefully done. It was a pleasure staying there. For their price of a room with complimentary breakfast there is no better in downtown Vancouver. We return again and again.
