Nicely updated hotel. Good city location a bit hard to drop off your luggage but that is the only thing you could find wrong with this hotel. You order a complete breakfast that is very good. They have a business center and parking available next door for $ 24.00/day.
They are very helpful and have done a super job updating the hotel, very trendy.

We only stayed here for one night but would not hesitate to stay longer. It was great value and the employees are extremely personable going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The rooms were very well appointed and updated. The beds were the most comfortable of any place we have stayed. It is within walking distance of Gastown and a short taxi ride to the Cruise terminal. We were on the 4th floor at the back and our friends were on the 1st at the front. They did say it was a little noisy there with traffic but we didn't hear a thing from our room. Give them a try.

If you are looking for a unique hotel in the heart of the city the St.Regis is a pleasent suprise. Being a newly renovated heratige building there is a fantastic mix of the old turn of the century charm with a very modern update. Must have been a challenging project but the results are definettally worth it..
Yes there is the quirks of an old building (i.e. small single elevator) but the combination of a helpful staff ,building design and location all add up to a hotel I would confidentally recommend .
NOTE: Remember it is RIGHT DOWN TOWN so expect traffic and all that goes with it .

The good: Smack in the center of things. Next to the SkyRail station (here it's a subway so no noise, and access to YVR -- Vancouver international airport -- starts next week). A few minutes to the SeaBus terminal (nice views, and a quick bus ride to Grouse Mountain with its enjoyable lumberjack show). The number 4 bus takes you to UBC (University of British Columbia) campus (I recommend the Sage restaurant near the rose garden and the museum of anthropology).

The better: Nice rooms (felt plenty spacious to us), helpful staff, and cooked-to-order breakfast with buffet.

The bad: the hotel was out of razors, toothbrushes, shower caps, and (gasp) didn't replenish toilet paper. They need to stock up on these essential items!

After our cruise to Alaska we stopped off in Vancouver for a few days. This hotel was a great find. it has been renovated and beautifully decorated. The location is close to all. There is internet access in the lobby and very elegant. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel, although the room was a little small, but location makes it good. Very close to all the shops, nice areas etc. We parked our rental car in the parking lot on the street next to the hotel. Window was smashed, but we had nothing in the car left. Staff of the hotel helped us to get in touch with Avis, who were just three blocks away. Breakfast was very good in the basement of the bar of the hotel Staff very nice, so we advise to stay in this nice clean hotel with modern well equiped bathroom. My wife really enjoyed the shower whcih you can take of the hook. This happens not often in hotels in North America.

The St Regis is well located and the staff very helpful although there seemed to be very few of them with a lot of multi-tasking which led to a very slow check in and the poor harassed guy working solo on the desk committing the cardinal sin of taking a phone call whilst a queue grew longer and longer. He needed help!
The room (just a queen bed room) was pretty small but nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The street noise was very bad indeed and we had stayed just around the corner at The Metropolitan at the start of our stay so know that even downtown hotels can deal with the inevitable street sound. We slept very badly due to sirens, revellers and general traffic noise.
The breakfast was quite good with a range of things to choose from the buffet and a cooked choice as well although again, understaffing caused delays and a sense of servers being really hard pressed and struggling.
I guess that one of the key reasons that this hotel is number one on this site is because it is quite cheap, has a good range of in-room facilities and includes breakfast but I wouldn't want to go again just because it was so noisy.
The staff was young and helpful and the room was very clean but overall not a particularly memorable hotel.
