We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of July when Vancouver were experiencing their hottest summer since 1965! Staff were exceptionally helpful and the room we had on the 5th floor was spotlessly clean with a safe (rare in other hotels), water and a chocolate left on our bed every night. The bathroom was fantastic, walk in shower and huge. The only disappointment was the view - air conditioning units and the back other buildings. But no matter, we were hardly there. We had breakfast every morning in the basement room, there was plenty to choose on the buffet with bacon and eggs cooked to order if you wanted them. Stanley Park was fabulous, and we went to Grouse Mountain and the Capilano Suspension Bridge as well as the trolley tour. Try the Cactus Club and Earls for dinner. The only thing about the city we didn't like was the construction work going on everywhere (not sure if its for the Olympics or not), some pavements were very rough and rocky and there were various pedestrian detours. We loved hiring bikes round Stanley Park and the general ambiance of the city.

We stayed one night on our way to Asia but wished we could have stayed longer. What a pleasant surprise this small hotel was! Great location and beautifully renovated. While our room was rather small, it had a super-comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. The entire hotel displayed a marked attention to design even in the smallest details. With free internet, bottled water and breakfast, it was indeed a great deal!

Stayed at the St. Regis for 2 nights in late July. The location is downtown, which is a little crazy with preparations for the upcoming Olympics, but it's also very convenient. The rooms are a bit small by some standards but they are efficiently arranged and wonderfully decorated. The staff couldn't be better from front desk to bellmen. The breakfast includes eggs and bacon cooked to order plus cereals, fruit, muffins, toast, etc. Parking is in the building next door and is expensive at $25/day but , overall, this is a great hotel.

We spent four days at the St. Regis in downtown Vancouver and loved it! The staff was very helpful and always available. The room we had was on the 4th floor and on the corner. We had a great view of the downtown streets and the highrise buildings that surround this little gem. Close to all downtown attractions; we walked almost everywhere. A full breakfast was included and featured everything plus fresh eggs, potatoes, and bacon. We also ate at the bar connected to the hotel and really enjoyed the taco salad and smooth brew. The only thing to remember is that the fee for parking is $25 a night. The parking garage is next to the hotel, so at least you don't have to walk far.

The St Regis is a great hotel with a super staff at the front desk ! Rooms are designy, spacious, with huge superluxe bathroom. Front desk gave us twice a good advise on where to have dinner. Safe parking at 18$/day just around the corner. So, a really great place with beautifull rooms, friendly and professional staff on a great location. One big problem however : breakfast is complimentary, but served in the lower lobby ( a cellar with no windows), a place with dark brown furniture on a non matching dark brown floor, with old "stuff" visible in one corner of the room, a friendly but not professional waiter and waittress, a really poor buffet and with only bacon and eggs on the à la carte menu. (We got the eggs twice not served as we asked them.) Maybe this is the reason why it is complimentary ??? Anyway, I think they should work on this because it is really not upto the level of the hotel, and it would be a shame if they lost clients because of this.
