Wedgewood proved to live up to all the excellent reviews it received. A beautiful hotel with wonderful attentive staff. We felt the hotel experience at the Wedgewood was the finest we've had. It made our recent trip so very enjoyable. Loved the decor and the large soaking tub was marvelous.

Room Tip: Large soaking tub is very romantic.

We stayed at the wedgewood for 3 nights and were impressed. The rooms were lovely and big with lovely hot showers and great big baths! All the staff were very friendly and the concierge were extremely helpful. The location was just perfect too.

Whilst the actual hotel itself is really good, it's the staff that make this place. Everybody that we met was very helpful and friendly. They were all happy to stand and chat or offer advice about things to do in the city. They seemed to be genuinely interested in their guests rather than it simply being a corporate approach.
We were upgraded to a suite which had a lounge area and a seperate large bedroom with two queen beds. The suite was very comfortable and well appointed. When we returned each evening, the sheets had been turned back and bottled water and cookies had been left for us.
We had a continental breakfast as part of the deal, this consisted of a yoghurt and granola parfait, and then a choice of various breads.
We were also provided with a voucher for a three course meal in the Bacchus restaurant. The food and service were simply outstanding. Had we been paying, the bill would have come to around $200 so this isn't the standard of restaurant that we would normally go for!! Having said that, it was one of the best restaurant meals that I have ever had.
The hotel is well positioned for exploring the city, close to the Robson St shops and around 15 minutes walk to Canada Place where you can catch various tour buses.
Highly recommended.

Like all Relais & Chateaux properties, luxury, attentive service, top-notch quality and meticulous attention to detail come standard @ Vancouver's Wedgewood Hotel & Spa. Set amongst the hustle and bustle of the downtown heart (Robson, Burrard, Hastings & Georgia), Wedgewood is an oasis of calm. The lobby and its award-winning Bacchus restaurant are sophisticated, comfortable and splendid, as are the rooms, all outfitted in old-world antiques and elegant detail. This is not a hotel for trends, for noise, or for the young budget traveler; it IS for those seeking a pampered, luxurious stay for discerning guests. My suite (1205) was a corner unit complete with massive patio w/seating area, separate bedroom and living area, and gorgeous marbled bathroom w/soaker tub. 2 TV's, plenty of storage, complete coffee/water/mini-bar & more storage area near the door. The incredible staff mentioned my name at every turn (including the tuxedo-ed doormen), rare for a guest (I thought) staying one night for a business meeting (the room was elegant). Evening turndown service came w/bottled water and home-made cookies; a welcome box of chocolates and personalized note made me feel more than home. It's better than home: it's the Wedgewood!

Room Tip: Suite 1205 offered an amazing floor plan w/separate bedroom and massive balcony w/good views of surr...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Wedgewood for a 'date night away from the kids'. and had an incredible relaxing time. The bellman and frontdesk staff were super friendly and attentive. We loved our beautiful suite...it was elegant and luxurious - with wi-fi, ipod station and 2 flat screens. The bathroom was truly spa-like with a walk-in shower and we had a great balcony overlooking the gardens at Robson Square. We loved the big, comfy bed and the special touches like the delicious freshly baked cookies that were delivered to our room in the evening.

We went to the Bacchus Restaurant for dinner and found a great selection of wines and dinner options. My husband had the halibut and I had the signature risotto. Both of us had amazing meals – not surprised that this restaurant has won so many awards. The staff were attentive and the ambience made us feel like we were truly 'out' for the evening. A nice, fun energy but not too loud.

We treated ourselves to the Spa the next morning. We arrived early and enjoyed the eucalyptus steam room and then had a couples massage which was incredibly nice.

We really love this hotel. It's the perfect combination of old world charm and modern comfort. Felt like a real getaway and would highly recommend it!

The location, room size and complimentary breakfast were all wonderful. The best thing was really all the personal attention and friendliness of the staff. The staff took a lot of time and trouble to let us know all the best attractions to visit and how to get to them. The attention to detail throughout was really great.

The Wedgewood has the best hotel location in Vancouver. The art gallery, cinemas, live theatre and shopping activities are all nearby. The staff are friendly and accommodating; the hotel is clean and the bar and dining room are popular. However the rooms facing the alley offer no view- a deadful view- and the hotel's sound attenuation for street and alley noise is poor. The most distressing aspect is that the interiors are very dated and in this respect the hotel is tired and needs sprucing up. It bothers me that an otherwise very good to excellent boutique hotel in the heart of Vancouver is coasting on an early reputation/ambiance and management seems too concerned with continued income to renovate. Clients deserve better..

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the street. Do not accapt an alley room.
