I love farmers type markets and this one was good - not great. The market stalls are outnumbered by places which sell prepared food and "arts and crafts" stalls. I found the prices to be very expensive - especially for local in season items such cherries and blueberries.

It is a "must see' attraction In Vancouver and I am glad I went. I got there by using Vancouver Trolley's hop-on/ hop-off trolley - which is not convenient when it comes to catching a trolley when you want to hop back on.

Arts and crafts and souvenir shops make this a worthwhile visit. Visit the music shop for interesting and unusual instruments.

I like the market on Granville Island, getting fresh fruits and sweets. It's a good spot for tourists to visit.

A bit of a packed zoo but great with kids- the kids market made our 6 year old happy to get a toy and then see a cool street performer. We loved it for afternoon snacks -- lots of bakeries and cafes and other foodie stops to choose from. Take a water taxi back for the full experience!

Granville is a tourist trap with a twist. Many locals appear to frequent the market and many of the businesses located on the Island along with the obvious touristy crowd.

Easy to get to from downtown by water taxi or bus. It's kind of a long walk from downtown, but not undoable.

Good choices of food and the market is insane! Foods of all kinds are available in the market. I suggest you try the butter tarts. Yummy!

I would go back to visit anytime I am in Vancouver. Fabulous place for lunch.

Thank Joe G
