Owner description: Beautiful forest laced with well-marked trails for hiking and running.
Reviewed April 1, 2013

I have walked the trails in the park for 30 years... since before it was a park. There are so many great places to go... overlooking the sea, second growth forest where the light is never the same. Dogs and bikes allowed...

If you want a hike in a city, you are in luck. Lots of trails, wonderful trees and a good place to walk you dog. On the east side is the city and on the west the University and ocean views. Its a safe walk but in the daylight only.

A great place to commune with nature in a great cosmopolitain city.

great place to hike with friends and so much more. Rare natural beauty only matched by a walk in the forest in Stanley park.

Friends and I often head here for walks with our dogs. The trails are well groomed, safe and off-leash. It can be busy, so plan accordingly. Lots to discover!

If looking for a great place to stretch the running legs Pacific Spirit Park is a place to consider. Located adjacent to the University of British Columbia the Park contains a well-maintained trail system that is destination for hordes of local runners, dog-walkers and people who want to enjoy a developing ecosystem of Douglas-fir, western red cedar, bigleaf maple and red alder. The trails are wheel-chair friendly and open to cyclists, but watch hidden corners it is a popular park.
