This hotel puts you in the centre of it all. Location is fabulous. A block off Robson, 4 blocks from Canada Place, attached to shopping mall and skytrain.

Staff helpful, service good and rooms clean. Pool and garden area very nice. If you are driving, it is easy to get in and out of this hotel's front entrance area (ie. the Hyatt 2 blocks down on Burrard had an awkward front area if you need to pick up someone and not park).

Loved the hotel shampoo/conditioner (L'Occitane - store a couple blocks away if you need to purchase a big bottle to take home!)

We stayed for a few nights en route to Tofino and thought this was a disappointing hotel for the Four Seasons brand. Totally average 'business hotel', bland dated decor, small double rooms with tiny bathrooms, impersonal enormous lobby, very much an anonymous chain feel.
Having said that the location was good, the bar ok, the pool was lovely (if needing renovation), and the service helpful, but none of this could make it a stay worth the price we were paying.
Would not stay here again.

The booking agent had assured us that we would have a room with 2 double beds (family of 4 in one room, to keep costs down) but the hotel did not have this instruction and had booked us in a one-bedded room. They changed the room straight away but we were then in a two-doubled bedded room on a lower floor looking out on the air conditioning - not inspiring. However, they redeemed themselves by placing another fold out bed in the room (unasked, they just realised that a 10 year old and 12 year old only share a bed uncomfortably) and providing milk and cookies for the kids. The room with 3 beds was crowded, but we all slept well, which is the main thing. Swimming pool and roof garden lovely, and we made good use of them. Excellent situation for walking round Vancouver, close to Canada Place, Gastown etc.

We just finished a short 2 night stay at the Four Seasons with our children - 8 & 12. We upgraded to a suite when we arrived - though more expensive, we weren't crowded. We slept comfortably on the king bed and our kids slept comfortably on rollaway beds in the living room. I saw a review that described the decor as dated - that's about right (for our room) but the room was still very nice.

We spent most of our time outside the hotel, but the kids especially liked the pool (of course) and visited it half a dozen times. Nice towels, indoor/outdoor pool (a bit too small for length swimming), large patio area (crowded around by other buildings so no view but still nice), and a decent looking exersize facility. We even had dinner by the poolside last night.

We didn't eat at Chartwells, but did eat breakfast at Season's. Expensive of course (for the buffet) but very good. Their bircher muesli is exceptional. For our second breakfast we ate at Belaggio's, about a 5m walk from the hotel - very nice and half the price. We had dinner at Top of Vancouver - great site but too expensive and small dishes.

There's some construction going on on the lower floors (around 2 & 3, I think). This didn't bother us (we were on the 15th floor).

If the price is not an issue, I highly recommend this hotel.

Yes, the rooms are dated. But they are very clean (as is to be expected from any Four Seasons), and are in very good condition, despite their age. There are many newer hotels that have more modern rooms that are already in far worse condition than the rooms at the Four Seasons Vancouver will ever be.

The service is very good, and at the level expected of the chain, as are the amenities and food. If you are looking for modernity, go somewhere else, but if you are looking for the trademark Four Seasons service and quality, this Four Seasons makes the grade, even when compared to some of its younger siblings.

My husband & I stayed here for a weekend, and loved it! Decor was a bit dated, but the room was huge! Lots of windows on the corner units! Great little getaway, service was great! In house restaurant was really nice, top notch food. Pool area was serene, with gardens, waterfalls, an indoor/outdoor heated pool, jacuzzi....etc!!

Plus, we saw the Canada Day fireworks from our suite!

This is a lovely hotel. It is classic. The bad reviews made me nervous. The hotel does need to be updated.... but it's not bad. If you want really a modern hotel this is not the hotel for you. If you want class and elegance, then this is a good choice. We had a great rate and got an upgraded room with a good view.
