Owner description: Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district. This fresh urban neighbourhood is just an easy walk from the centre of downtown Vancouver or a quick ferry ride from Granville Island. Yaletown’s converted heritage buildings are home to some of city’s top fashion and design shops, as well as cutting edge restaurants and bars. Old loading docks act as giant sidewalks and create a unique setting for wandering, shopping, or lounging at one of the many outdoor patios.

“Neat district. Need to spend more time here.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014

The Yaletown district/area of Vancouver was a wonderful area to walk around and explore. There are numerous upscale & outstanding restaurants, neat shops, breweries, parks, etc. We were quite surprised at the number of very large high-rise condo buildings. (Nice looking – have no idea of the cost however.)

Mainland Street and Hamilton Street seem to have the neatest shops and restaurants. We wish we had had more time to explore the Yaletown area. Well worth exploring.

“Fun Area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

Yaletown has a lot of fun restaurants, tapas and coffee shops. Be aware some of the eateries are quite expensive. You can take the foot ferry over to Granville island from Yaletown. The sky train also stops at Yaletown. Great place to look over false creek and people watch.

“Great selection of restaurants”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

Multiple restaurants to choose from with nice outdoor patios. We ate at Earls, The Keg, Starbucks. All were great. Good place to hang out, grab a drink, grab a bite or gather with friends.

Lots of restaurants. Neat area. Sky train stop nearby. Close to everything. Ate at the Cactus Club on their patio.
