Very small with not much to se, but awesome for the sharks and of course beluga whales! I think they should have scuba gear to hire as then I would definitely have done the tank dive!

This place amazes me every time I go. I like to make sure I go at least once every two years. They do a great job explaining and showing how the animals live in the wild.

We visited "off season" toward the end of October. We were still able to view outdoor shows comfortably, then warm up in the Amazon exhibit.
The trainers do a nice job with the whales and dolphins.
The indoor exhibits and under pool viewing are spectacular!

As a Vancouver resident, I've watched the AQ develop from a smelly walk-down with four seals and a couple of octupuses to the huge world-class resource it is today. Hundreds of species cavort in ample, meticulously maintained marine environments. Informative texts and interactive voice stations provide exhaustive info about the marine life, their history, evolution, and environments, and about the aquarium itself. Seeing all the exhibits and taking in everything the AQ has to offer (incl. a whale show and lunch), wil take an entire day. And make sure you spend some time in the gift shop and book store--excellent souvenirs and books, though rather pricey.
All-in-all, a wonderful experience for the whole family. And note that the AQ rents conference rooms for that important company meeting--right beside the whale tanks, so you have a Beluga as an Honorary member of the Board!
