Owner description: A bustling community started by Chinese immigrant laborers in the 1880s, Chinatown today is vibrant and full of exotic sights, sounds and smells.

Although not the busy place it used to be since Richmond has become the place for Asian business, it still has the history. Check out the markets and architecture. Then go for dim sum at one of the many restaurants. The International Village has my favourtie movie theatres.

It's an interesting piece of Vancouver's history, but the area is on the dangerous side. I'd never hang out there past 6pm.

Vancouver oriental population has a perfect outlet in his Chinatown. Known as the second largest Chinatown after the one in San Francisco, it can be considered our direct connection to the orient. You can experience the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden or enjoy a Dim-sum the traditional Chinese food prepared in small bite-sized portions and served in small steamer baskets or have a seal with your name engraved in Chinese characters on a stone.

One of the most disappointing Chinatown in the world! Its run down, full of druggies, dirty, and... Chinatown has really moved to Richmond.
