This is a very busy area of town. But definitely worth visiting.
The public market is the best market I've ever been to!
Fresh fruit / cakes / jewellery / coffee / gifts ect
Also loads of cute shops in the surrounding areas.

We have been on Granville Street many times. Walking south of False Creek, there are a lot of diversified shopping opportunities and the stroll is very pleasant. As for downtown Granville Street, it is seedy and there is nothing on this part of the street that is a ‘must see or do’. Plus, in the evening hours, we just don’t feel safe.

I enjoyed my stroll down Granville. A little seedy w street people and buskers. Lots of unusual mom and pop (that would be mom and pop from the Summer of Love). Great little cafes and bars

Not your whitewashed usual tourist venue but a must for the mildly adventurous

By day it is a shopping area with stores, souvenir shops and bars and restaurants. At night it is a very bustling bar scene that also, attracts the homeless. On weekends the police turn it into a pedestrian street and it fills up.

Yes, this street is not the most exciting, however it is one of the key connecting avenues in the downtown area. It travels from the water front area right over the bridge at Granville street market. Worth taking having a look by walking or taking transit.
