“Different, in every way”

It's a special destination... under a bridge. It is a melting pot of craftsmen and women, souvenirs, eateries and splendid views, aqua buses and fresh produce shops... Every door, there is something special to see. You can get an ice cream cone or buy some hand made soap... sip a beer on a terrace or have a formal dinner at the steakhouse... it is very different from the downtown experience. A must see.

“Granville Island”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

You can take a nice stroll and visit the many shops. We got here by an aqua bus which isrecommended because parking here is very limit. There are big open markets, almost like a farmers market, that you buy and see all kinds food, fruits, and vegetables. I recommend that you get the salmon jerky, awesome. You can sit down and enjoy the nice view of False Creek.

“A great place to stroll for an hour or the whole day!”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

If in the Vancouver area this is a must stop place for any/all meals, shopping, people watching or refreshments. You will find a huge variety of everything and including entertainment and some really great buskers.. you will find quiet a few homeless as in any city but I have never been bothered or harassed by them. Great during the day and awesome at night!

“Very nice part of Vancouver”
Reviewed March 3, 2014

There is a lot of shopping to be done in this area for those that like to spend a little, and there are many cool places to eat all around. We had a fun time touring it!

“Avoid”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

Tourists have no reason to be here. Vancouver's disgrace. This is where the uneducated drunken bridge-and-tunnel people go to for their night out in the "big city". It's also where aggressive vagrants and dangerous drug addicts hang out. The stores are nothing special, the restaurants mediocre and the nightlife is violent. Murders do happen here. Avoid.
