If you are in Vancouver then this is (in our opinion) a must. Its quite a trek to do the whole walk but its a joy whether experienced in part or indeed whether you manage to complete the whole walk.

There are a number of parking spots as you travel through the park but you have to pay at each stop individually and a minimum of $5
This is a rip off and you should be able to buy a ticket which covers for all parking areas if you want to make frequent stops
Also even though the shops at bridge viewing pint were closed the parking attendant was still issung tickets

We hired some bikes and cycled around and throughout the park. Loved it. Fabulous views and facilities.

Was undertaking a two week trip to Canada with our first stopover in Vancouver. When researching things to do, biking around Stanley Park always come up as one of the things to do. So being keen bikers, this was a must do. So first day in Vancouver find a bike hire outfit - there are plenty of them in the vicinity of CDB Vancouver and Stanley Park. Pick up our bike with good advice from the hire company, first point was that you must bike the seawall path in an anti clockwise manner. Next they told us the best way to go, follow the cycle lane right through downtown Vancouver until you hit the sea, turn left and follow your nose. Three hours of relaxing cycling and looking at the sights followed. Once we hit the Stanley Park path, first stop was the totem poles, hint here you must leave your bikes about 100 m from where the poles are so make sure you have a way of securing your bikes. We then continued around the path, some times at a good pace, other times at a walking speed, but good pace made and plenty of stops for photos. Stop about 3/4 of the way around for a lunch stop, not a great deal of selection, mainly burgers, hotdogs, fries etc, but after a couple of hours biking this was a welcome stop. Prices not too bad. Finally back to the bike rental company. This was a relaxing three hours on a completely flat sealed track. We all thoroughly enjoyed this and could recommend this for both cyclists and non cyclists alike. Another point to note, when we took the bikes back they commented that the day would have been a quiet day on the track (even though at times we were down to a walking pace), they advised that on a sunny summers day the track is packed and you can hardly get above walking pack unless you opt for an early start.

We borrowed bikes from the hotel and biked from Yaletown to and around Stanley Park. It was an easy and lovely ride. Then the next day we got off the Hop On Hop Off bus at Prospect Point and took a short walk through the forest- also lovely. Don't miss Stanley Park if you are in Vanvouver.
