Stanley Park is an amazing place to visit. Be prepared to be in awe at the sights & scenery. 3 main beaches to choose from with great anemities. Family friendly, pet friendly and great places to just sit, relax and enjoy the view. Bring a picnic basket and your set. Kids will love the playground at 2nd beach and for the adventurist, there's numerous paths to trek on.
For those wanting a more natural setting, the ocean is accessible from English Bay as well as other areas.
At night you can see the Lions Gate Bridge all lit up and you can sit and enjoy watching the boats go by right In front of your eyes. Take advantage of the mountains visible from most areas of the park. Watch the peacocks and other assorted wildlife roam throughout the park. Concession stands & plenty of washrooms (wheelchair accessible) can be used throughout the park. Restaurants are also a calm & relaxing way to enjoy the day or night. The kids water park is fun, clean and safe for all ages. Twice a year the annual events are spectacular. The Vancouver firefighters spend over 100 unpaid hours of their time installing "Christmas Lights" & " Halloween Lights". For kids & families to enjoy. For a small donation enjoy an evening to be unforgettable. Light refreshments can be purchased........don't forget to take a ride on the choo choo train.
Memories for you & your family ........make it an annual tradition. Enjoy

My family was in Vancouver as our departure port for an Alaskan cruise. We spent two days touring on our own around Vancouver. This park was highly recommended by many websites and locals alike.
We especially wanted to see the totem poles that are on display. The grounds are well kept and the flowers were beautiful.
We walked along the seawall and saw sights not typically seen by desert dwellers like us. Float planes, the nearby bridge and the surrounding area were magnificent.

We visited Stanley Park and even though it was raining we had an enjoyable time. There are horse drawn carriage ride and access is easy using public transport. We spotted wildlife such as raccoon, Canadian Geese and other native birds. Along the walks you can also see water view around Vancouver and the city sky line.

This is just a beautiful park with plenty to see and do: carriage rides, walk around the sea wall, bike ride, take walks under the trees, see totem poles and stop and smell the roses.
