Fantastic experience, highly recommended. Well looked after and plenty to see and do, as well as a relaxing time. The staff were friendly and attentive. Met some interesting people aboard the train from different countries - always plenty to talk about!

We took the gold service both ways from Vancouver to Whistler and had a great time. The scenery is outstanding, the commentary is interesting and you got at a speed where you can take in the whole experience. The breakfast on the way up to Whistler was very nice and the afternoon tea coming back to Vancouver was equally pleasant. A very nice way to spend the day.

Large windows through which to view some of the world's most beautiful scenery, the Rocky Mountaineer has spectacular views of the mountains, lakes and wilderness. Destinations include Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler, Lake Louise, Jasper, Calgary, Banff and Kamloops. You can choose from three levels of service (I have been on the train 3 times and experienced the Red and Gold Leaf) Red to Silver to Gold Leaf, and you will enjoy top quality food and wine, outstanding service and onboard commentaries. Rocky Mountaineer trips include overnight accomodations and the option to include additional excursions such as city tours and helicopter rides. If you love train travel as much as I do - this is the train to take - you will enjoy every minute and especially the fresh baked cookies you get in the Gold Leaf section.

Very expensive but you'll see canyons, mountains, waterfalls and views that aren't accessible by the Sea to Sky highway. Non-alcoholic beverages and 2 light meals are included. There are pick ups from most of the major hotels downtown so it's pretty convenient and a different way to visit Whistler for the day.

The service on board is amazing the staff cant do enough for you,
The views from the Dome Car in Gold leaf are brilliant and also the large viewing platform at the end of the Car is great,

Yes when the Freight Trains go by the Rocky Train goes to the side, just sit back and relax where the hurry to get anywhere
Food is very good and also good quality and some nice wines to enjoy also,
The hotels in Kamloops are not the most luxurious but do offer clean and comfortable nights stay,
