Our concierge at the Fairmont Waterfront (Katie) suggested the floatplane as a way to travel to Victoria from Vancouver for the day. We were going specifically to see the Butchart Gardens and this was all included in the cost. It was twice the cost of the ferry, but took much less time, and, oh, the views were fantastic. Fortunately for us, the day was gorgeous because I can see that it might not be as "pleasant" in rough weather. Anyway, lots of flight choices in either direction - and they let us change with no penalty - all very convenient to downtown and the waterfront. It's one of those things you need to do once in a lifetime...great adventure.
