After using this type of transport in other cities in Europe we have alway found them to be a great way to orientate oneself to a new place and to get from A to B with out enduring the costs of taxis. However Big Bus in Vancouver seems to cut it's services in Winter which left us stranded in Standed in Stanley Park in the cold and wet for nearly an hour waiting for a bus to arrive. There was no timetable and we were told a bus would come "about" every 40 to 45 minutes so we estimated the time we needed to be back and arrived 15 min early just in case. During our wait we had 2 Vancouver Trolley Buses (the competition) stop by but we had already paid for a big bus ticket.
On a positive note - once on the bus the driver was very pleasant and informative with his commentary as we passed by local attractions.
From our experience I would not recommend this service.
