“Best Hotel hands down in Vancouver!”
Reviewed December 5, 2010

My husband and I tired the new Pacific Rim Fairmont in Vancouver for the first time this week-end. We have stayed at all of the other Fairmonts in Vancouver, Whistler and Seattle and love them all but I have to say that the Pacific Rim is a step above all of these other fine hotels. The service was top notch, we felt spoiled! The Hotel is set in one of the most beautiful settings in the world with views that will take your breath away. Our room was a Signature View King corner suite on the 17th floor. The room was outstanding, very high tech with remote curtains, spa lighting, beautiful decor and the bathroom was the nicest I've ever seen, even better than high end hotels in Vegas. The wrap around windows overlooking the harbor with the snow-dusted mountains and the 5 sails from Canada place in the background were amazing! The funky square soaker tub was the highlight as it was placed right against the window and you could sit and soak in the jetted lighted tub while looking out over the city.

We booked the Breakfast in Bed/Spa package and it was a week-end of pampering! The spa was also one of the best I've ever visited and you won't find a more beautiful backdrop of scenery anywhere. The outdoor private hot tubs overlooked the harbor and the city. The amenities were incredible. The ladies change room went on forever including a cozy lounge with a fireplace, coffee, teas, snacks.....the showers and steams rooms were so nice. Don't leave the spa without trying the "Experience Shower".

Valet service is expensive but so is the parking if you choose to park yourself. It's worth the service and ease that it adds to your holiday. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service with their own BMW's which is a classy touch! Most everything is in walking distance so you rarely need to worry about transportation

I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is coming to Vancouver to experience the best the city has to offer. Also don't miss trying on the Sugar Buns at the cafe G in the hotel.....you will think you've died and gone to heaven. .

In some ways I hate to share just how much we loved this hotel, afraid we won't be able to find a room in the future!

Anyway, my husband and I were in town for a combination of business and pleasure and "pleasure" describes the experience at the Pacific Rim. We're always impressed with Fairmonts but this was the best so far. Beautifully appointed in a combination of modern and retro (think 60's cool), we enjoyed every aspect from the gorgeous lobby, chic lounge with oversized fireplace to the great quality and comfort of our room. The service too was outstanding - all staff seem utterly committed to the success of the hotel and to the comfort of their guests. Thank you, Pacific Rim, we'll be back.

My husband and I travel once a year to try different Fairmounts or go back to the ones we like. We've only been to the ones in Western Canada and quite enjoy our weekend visit to Pacific Rim. It really is a treat! The rooms are amazing! They've thought of everything. We only stayed in the Suite with 2 person tub but it was big enough for us. The Hotel is very modern. We we're quite excited to see how it would be seeing that our all time favorite is the Banff Springs. The only thing that disappointed my husband and I was the spa. It is nice...but it's no where near the spa at Banff Springs. The chairs in the co-ed lounge are very uncomfortable and that is the only place really where couples can hang other than the tubs. As well...not sure why they would put the spa on that side of the building as it's not the side with the harbor view. The view is of other tall buildings. Little disappointing! The one in Banff has an awesome lounge area to order food, relax, put your feet up, read and hang for hours enjoying the breath taking views.
***Still...this hotel is one that will see me again.

I can't say enough about how nice everything at this hotel was during our week stay. Carla at the concierge who went out of her way to find a screw for my glasses and fix them to all the friendly smiles from the staff - top notch! Rooms were very clean, was very impressed with all the technology, touch sensitive lighting and drape controls were all too cool. Bathrooms were very well laid out and the Electric Mirror with TV was something to tell your friends and family about. Only suggestion is to add some grab bars in the shower, can get a little scary for older guests. Fey and Linda did a fantastic job every day with the room and was a delight to chat with them about their jobs, housekeeping mobile packs, and Linda went out of her way to get me information on them for our hotel. If I ever get back to Vancouver your hotel will be my home!

We just enjoyed a recent stay at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. This hotel opened in the early part of 2010, only a few days before the start of the Winter Olympics. It is chic, elegant modern and certainly classy. I was there to attend a conference that was held at the Vancouver Convention Center. One could not ask for a better location if going to the convention center is part of your agenda as the hotel is located directly across the street (less than 300 feet from door to door). The hotel staff was very accommodating. In fact, they would often provide complimentary transportation to downtown attractions if proactively arranged by the guest. The rooms were spacious and modern. The lights, and curtains were controlled electronically with the touch of a button. The bathroom was large and immaculate with a television screen superimposed on the mirror. The hotel rooms had just about any amenity that one could imagine including (wine, snacks, an umbrella and even a romance package - condoms, body oils, etc). The Fairmont chain did not miss a beat with their latest installment in the form of the Pacific Rim. The only area the needs improvement is the concierge team. Their knowledge of local attractions and ability to provide tourist with pertinent, useful information was juvenile at best. All in all, this hotel comes highly recommended.

This is a brand-new hotel that opened less than a year ago. It is modern, clean, chic, and stylish. The service was very friendly, very attentive, professional, and helpful with advice about getting around and restaurants.
The lobby was busy, especially at night. There was an active bar scene with live music (but not too loud).
The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very large. The toilet was conveniently located in a separate alcove with door. The tub worked well and the shower had two showerheads. An amusing aspect of the bathroom was the built-in TV in the mirror. The main room had a large flat-screen TV.
An odd part about the room was the lighting design and curtains. Everything is electronic/automated. There are no switches. Instead of switches, there are small buttons with which to change the mood lighting in the room and to open/close the curtains. I would have been happier with standard light switches and manually controlled window curtains.
The hotel is located next to the Convention Center (with underground connecting walkway) and within 2 minutes of beautiful views over the water. From the hotel, I walked to many places in Vancouver including Gastown, Chinatown, and Yaletown.
By the way, if you like ice cream/gelato, you need to try Bella Gelateria, located on the same block as the hotel. It was terrifically good!

This hotel is outstanding. They have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are large, modern, clean, smell fantastic, comfortable, and representative of the locale.

The staff is awesome, the lobby is fun, and the location is great. Additionally, the attached Willow Stream spa is amazing.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It may not be the cheapest, but it is completely worth it.
