“Fantastic location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

Business travel brought me to Vancouver for 4 days and I was thrilled with my stay at the Fairmont Pacific RIm. Beautiful modern hotel located on Coal Harbor with walking access to much of Downtown Vancouver. The staff was helpful and accomodating to all of any request I had while in town. The room is very well appointed, has a full suite of modern ammenities, and little things like putting your shoes out overnight for a shine make the stay all that much better.
The only downside to my visit was the view from my room which happened to overlook a construction site. A quick trip down the elevator and walk across the street made changed into a view over the harbor which made up for it quickly. I'd absolutely go back, or recommend to my friends staying in Vancouver.

My family drove from Seattle to Vancouver for a short stay in the city. After experiencing stressful delays at the border and single-lane tunnel traffic, we were greeted warmly by the valet with our room keys! No check-in required. I am a Presidents Club member and had booked a package on Fairmont.com that included parking, so they knew we would be arriving by car -- but I have to say this made my Top 5 all time customer experience list! I immediately relaxed and it set the tone for the rest of our vacation.

Just spent a week on honeymoon in Vancouver, splitting our time between the Fairmont Pacific Rim and the Four Seasons. We had advance-booking specials for suites in each hotel - Stanley Park View in the Pacific Rim and Dlx Executive Suite Preferred View at the Four Seasons. With the advance pricing, each suite ended up being around $400 a night.

The Pacific Rim was by far superior and amongst the best hotels we have ever experienced. As with all great hotel experiences, the staff made it particularly magical, with special mention to Nicole serving us (delicious) breakfasts (and tourist advice) and to Matthew Scott and the concierge team for great management of a courier package delayed by Canada customs. But it wasn't just the staff - the room was stunning, particularly the bathroom; televisions came with a 'connector kit' for ease of hook up to iPads; the free internet with free Fairmont club membership was fast and reliable. The only criticism is that the room layout has the sofa facing office buildings rather than looking out the other way over Coal Harbour.

The Four Seasons was a let down after all that. The suite was about the same size - or a bit larger - and the high floor allowed a nice view. Staff were courteous, efficient and practiced rather than warm. We missed the free bottle of mineral water each evening ($8 at Four Seasons), the fast and free internet ($17 a day at four seasons for slower service) and the sexy modern bathrooms. Still a nice hotel and well priced compared to suites in many cities but no match for the Fairmont.

The Fairmont was truely a beautiful hotel only outdone by the employees that work there. The room was outstanding and the bed was like being at home. The total expierence was well worth the price of the hotel.

We have never had a more relaxing and enjoyable stay anywhere. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, but what really makes it stand out is the service staff. We were always greeted promptly by name, and the concierge services were quick and outstanding. Celebrated our 35th anniversary here, and received special treatment by the staff. Bottle of sparkling wine at check in was unexpected and wonderful. Highly recommend. ORU has great breakfast buffet, best bacon ever! Rooms very high tech, all lights and drapes operated via ipad too. Great location across the street from Canada Place.

great location, fantastic service, good lobby bar, friendly staff. was impressed the minute we pulled up to the front entry. Once we mentioned our names it was like the staff was waiting for us to get out of the cab.
