Had a very pleasant two night stay in a harbour view room on the Gold Floor. Rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable with great bed linens and the technology, once one gets the hang of it, is fabulous. I sat in bed using the iPad to open curtains so I could watch the day dawning across the water.
Problem with noise from rowdy guests - which woke me three times on the Saturday - was dealt with wonderfully by Gold Floor staff. Cynthia - you're a star! In fact - all staff are friendly and go out of their way to welcome and be helpful.
Liked the general ambience of the hotel and found it well situated for my needs.

Room Tip: Try to get a waterfront/ harbour view room.

This is the fourth Fairmont I've stayed in while visiting Vancouver. This is the best, while all others are great too! The hotel is quite new and everything runs seamlessly. The experience is wonderful: good hospitality, great service, especially at the Fairmont Gold Lounge. Great food: in-room dining, Oru Restaurant.
One setback might be the gym. It's relatively small, hence the machines seem to be too close together, plus the roof is too low. Plus, I find our bed too soft (though not a problem for my hubby).
Some may find the location being a problem, but we loved it. It's at the coal harbor, next to the waterfront promenade, facing the water, just a few blocks away from prime shopping areas (we like walking). This will be our first choice for our next visit!

Lovely hotel in the heart of Vancouver BC. Located right across the street from the convention center. Many restaurants within in walking distance. The bathroom was amazing with a TV built into the mirror. I could watch the morning news while drying my hair!!

We travel from London each year to go skiing at whistler and for the last two years have spent our final weekend in Vancouver before heading home.

We are a party of two teenagers and two adults and we stayed both times in one of the signature corner suites. Last year we were fortunate enough to be upgraded to the gold floor but alas not this year! The sofa bed is huge and very comfortable and having two full bathrooms means that sharing the suite between four of us never feels too cramped.

We enjoyed drinks and nibbles in the lobby lounge and a quick evening meal at Giovanni's where the anti-pasti platters are amazing!

The town car service is excellent and dropped us off at Stanley park so that we could spend a rainy afternoon at the aquarium.

All in all we had a lovely stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone holidaying with family, as the service is excellent, which takes the stress out of travelling.

Stayed at this property in December 2012 for 5 nights. Had a room overlooking the swmiing pool. Overall, the property is well maintained, good service and comfortable public spaces. My only complaint is the locatio of the hotel - there is almost nothing around it, especially at night.

My room:
A good size business room, with a very comfortable bed, a well throught out bathroom and furniture. Also enjoyed looking out to the windows - quite calming.

The service:
Overall, service is at a very high standard - housekeeping was consistently good and prompt, restaurant service was professional and friendly, and all other staff maintain a high level of professionalism. It was a pleasure to be in a property that values and inveslts in its staff. It made the stay that much more enjoyable.

The hotel amenities:
Great amenities; from the gym to the pool to the spa - there are great choices and ambiance. Even in early winter, the pool is enjoyable.

Overall, enjoyed my stay at this property. Too bad this level of service is not duplicated at all Fairmont properties.

Great place to stay ... quite pricey but the service and attention to details makes it quite a great Fairmont property. All rooms are controlled by panels and an IPAD.

Only comment is that some requests made online were not met. Staff were very helpful when I called, but a little dissatisfied when my requests sent through the IPAD were not fulfilled.

We tried at first to get into the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel but a week earlier they didn't have any space for two people so we ended up going to this hotel for High Tea. For us after driving 5 hours it was a relaxing afternoon. But in no way I would in my opinion consider this to be High Tea. They have this event in the lobby/lounge. There was a guy playing very loud music on his guitar. The chairs are higher than the tables which makes it for a very uncomfortable 2 hours of trying to reach to the table to get your little goodies. We actually asked if we could sit on the sofa chairs which they said it was okay. You can't look outside because the event happens in the middle of the lobby. There is nothing quaint, charming or intimate about this entire experience. They start you off with tea of your choice. One very tine scone each - its a little smaller than a ping pong ball, a table spoon of cream, a table spoon of blue berries. 10 minutes into that they bring you a tray of 5 very teeney weeney sandwiches. There is no two layers here - just one piece of bread which is about 1.5" in diameter - it either has a prawn on it or some egg or a slice of cucumber. 2 pcs of sushi - one is tuna and the other is cucumber and the top tray has about 4 pcs of pastry goodies. All again in the size of 1.5" diameter. And that's it. If you don't have anything better to do on a rainy day in vancouver than this might be something you could do to kill time other than that its absolutely pointless.
