“great location- wonderful staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

we stayed at the Coast Coal Harbor Hotel for one week during July for a convention. I loved the location because I could walk along the waterfront, browse shops, and enjoy a nice meal within walking distance. Just 2 blocks to the waterfront. Our room (1201) had a view of the harbor between two buildings in front of us. The room was nothing special, but the bed very comfortable, however the comforter was way too heavy. We did not try the restaurant as there were so many options near us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was a great place to stay.

Room Tip: rooms on the north side of the building and near the middle will probably have a view of the harbor.

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. The staff is excellent, helpful, great attitude. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is clean and modern. Coal Harbour is great location and a short walk to the seawall. Highly recommend this hotel.

Modern and clean hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our bed was very comfy. We loved the location too. We were able to walk to the waterfront and some good restaurant's. On our last night there we had the awesome experience of seeing the 2010 Olympic Torch lit, it was truly awesome and a once in a lifetime experience for us. And it was in walking distance from the hotel.

You picked a perfect day to stay in our Hotel, watching the Olympic torch get lit is an amazing experience and brings back so many great memories for this city. Our Hotel was opened just a few weeks before the Olympics, so it is extra special for us. Thank you so much for staying with us and your wonderful review. Come back soon!

We stayed for 4 nights in August 2013, this hotel is extremely modern and well taken care of. I had a double room which was a nice size and beautiful bathroom with everything you would need including their signature body bath, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner (which smelled amazing). The hotel is very quiet and the staff is very helpful. The only thing I did not like was the view from our room was of an office building. We also had breakfast at the Preston's restaurant at the hotel and it was quite delicious and service was amazing. Hotel has the bus stop within a block that will take you anywhere in the city. Coal Harbour is walking distance and so is Canada Place. I give it a 10 out of 10 and recommend highly.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra to get an ocean view

We stayed at the Coast Coal Harbour for two nights before going on the Alaskan cruise. From the moment we walked in the front staff was friendly and accommodating. They gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities and perfect directions how to get there. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. Our room was the standard room. I guess my only complaint would be that our view was directly into the office buildings across the way. That really didn't bother us because we weren't in the room all that much. They also had a very good happy hour in the restaurant lounge. Overall an excellent experience

I've stayed in many coast hotels and generally am prepared for a mediocre experience. This hotel is a gem. Located right near the inner harbour, its very modern, friendly staff and great clean rooms with awesome windows and views. You'd never know you were in a Coast hotel if you have stayed in other ones. I only booked this one because the Westin Bayshore was full, but from a cost perspective, this one wins out. The only negative I have about this hotel is that they only offer Valet parking, no self parking options. At $20 bucks a day, it adds up quickly, especially with having to tip the valet each time. I'd stay here again.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, great to hear that you enjoyed your stay and we managed to meet your expectations. The valet parking only option was chosen as it prevents anyone from accessing our lot which we find makes it more secure. We hope that in our guests eyes security is an important attribute. We are looking forward to welcoming you back.

We stayed for 5 nights in late August at the end of our honeymoon. The hotel upgraded us free of charge to a suite on the 17th floor - the room was very spacious and extremely comfortable. The hotel itself is in a good location close to Coal Harbour and a few minutes walk from Canada Place. Can't comment on the restaurant as we did not eat there but there are lots of dining options close by if you are looking for an alternative. The hotel also has a small outdoor swimming pool and hot tub next to the fitness suite - all appeared in good condition and not too busy any time we used them. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful with any of our enquiries. Would definitely recommend!

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and got to explore the neighborhood. Yes, it's very convenient to get to the Cruise Ship terminal, Stanley Park and the harbor. Thank you for sharing and we hope to see you again.
