We have been big fans of tapastree and now tavola, which are part of the same "family" but only just tried Nook last week. We had burrata appetizer, a pizza each- with leftovers for lunch the next day- and a glass of wine each. It was good, we didn't have to wait for a table- it was a Monday night. The bill was in the $75 range, One weird thing, though, the waitress spilled the last 1/4 husbands glass of wine. He didn't want more as had to drive. I kind of thought they would take it off the bill, but didn't, I noticed that the guy beside us got splashed and then the ? manager came and gave him some kind of certificate or card. It just seemed weird to me. None the less, the waitress was nice, the food was good. Given the choice I'd go to the sister location Tavola around the corner.

We came for a late night meal and found the place packed, but there was room in the back at the so-called 'chefs table'. This turned out to be great since we could actually sort of hear each other. The very friendly chek kept passing us little complimentary tastes of this and that and our server was attentive. I'm not so sure I'd like sitting at the tables since they are VERY close together and the noise level was unpleasant. The appetizers we chose were excellent and the pizza looked like it would also be good.

We have been to Nook several times and keep going back as the staff is so attentive and the food is consistently delicious. The wine list is brief but the selection pairs well with the food and the staff know the wines well. Keep in mind that there is almost always a line-up as they do not take reservations.

We went on a Saturday night and there were 6 tables on the board waiting. (When you arrive, be sure to go inside to the left to write your name and number in your party on the chalk board). It was just above freezing outside so we went around the corner to Tavola (1829 Robson), which is a sister restaurant to Nook, and were seated for a drink while we waited. Tavola is a great restaurant as well and deserves an equally good review! After our drinks, we went back to Nook and were seated right away. Though full, the service was prompt as usual. We had two appetizers: the burrata and prosciutto antipasto and the ricotta crostini. Our mains were the gnocchi with meatballs and the rigatoni boscaiola and for dessert we had the tiramisu. The wine was the Vino da Tavola "Caburnio" Monteti.

Overall, we had a great time as always and will definitely be back!

Limited selection but all wonderful.
Great wine prices, lively atmosphere, but always lined up and no reservations.

During a trip to Vancouver my wife and I decided to listen to the good reviews about Nook and give it a try. After what seemed like a lifetime (about 45 mins) we finally got a seat at the bar.

The atmosphere was great. We were seated at the bar and got dinner and a show! It was fun to watch the bartender prepare the appetizers while we waited for our food. The restaurant is small, but well worth the wait. The bartender talked with my wife and suggested a different wine based on her tastes. She loved it!

When our food arrived it was hot and the presentation was great! Everything was devoured in record time! We loved eating here and wish we would have tried it sooner than our last day on vacation. We look forward to the day we can revisit Vancouver and our great dining experience at Nook.
