My best friend and I went to Campagnolo to celebrate our birthdays that we'd missed celebrating in July. We've had a couple of celebratory meals like this at Campagnolo and we've never been disappointed. We love the austere, but comfortable furnishings, the excellent service, the tasty cocktails, the excellent wine list and the delicious food.

Our favourite appetizer is always the Crispy Ceci...a perfect blend of citrus, salt, nuttiness and crunch. We shared an excellent Glorious Organics green salad, served with delectable paper-thin lomo (dry-cured pork). We also shared a tasty Salsiccia pizza, with fennel sausage, arugula, parmesan reggiano and chilies; the crust was perfect--puffy and golden around the edges. The cherry cheesecake we shared for dessert was amazing, with gorgeous lapin cherries and a pistachio crust. Our very sweet waitress surprised us glasses of delicious Batasiola Moscato d'Asti, to acknowledge our birthdays--the perfect end to another perfect meal at Campagnolo!

One last thing...we really took our time with this meal, but even though we were the only diners left in the restaurant, we never felt rushed or unwelcome.

Shared the beef tongue salad, excellent smoked beef tongue and greens, the spring salad made with veg from the farmers market across the street, exotics like fennel, colored beets, celery hearts - yummy

Then split a sausage pizza, it was very very yummy and the three dishes were too much for 2 people.

Service polite and prompt.

Our previous experience with Campagnolo would have been better for the owners than for us - it was crowded, noisy and confusing. Great food, but...

An early dinner on Tuesday brought a great result - the server offered tastings until we found the right bottle of wine, sausage made inhouse was a terrific starter, and our mains were great. Thin crust pizza and a pasta that was perfectly cooked with layers of flavour made for an ideal mid week dinner.

I had the pizza, plenty to share or take home. Both guys had pasta & loved it. We shared a bruscetta to start & it was divine as was the rhubard tart we shared for desert. Neat decore & friendly service in an "interesting" part of town. We'll be back.

This place is awesome! My husband and I were killing time waiting to take the train and found this little gem. We walked in about 5 minutes before they closed for lunch hauling our luggage with us. They were so sweet! They still let us come in (even though it was making them stay longer) and the service was awesome! Theo (our waiter) was fabulous! He asked us about our travel plans and gave us the low down on the whole area. He told us what sights to make sure to see and what to skip. And then the food came. Awesome stuff! My husband got the fennel sausage pizza and I got the margherita pizza. Both were amazing! We inhaled them! Definitely check out this place half a block down main street from the train station!
