My best friend and I went to Campagnolo to celebrate our birthdays that we'd missed celebrating in July. We've had a couple of celebratory meals like this at Campagnolo and we've never been disappointed. We love the austere, but comfortable furnishings, the excellent service, the tasty cocktails, the excellent wine list and the delicious food.
Our favourite appetizer is always the Crispy Ceci...a perfect blend of citrus, salt, nuttiness and crunch. We shared an excellent Glorious Organics green salad, served with delectable paper-thin lomo (dry-cured pork). We also shared a tasty Salsiccia pizza, with fennel sausage, arugula, parmesan reggiano and chilies; the crust was perfect--puffy and golden around the edges. The cherry cheesecake we shared for dessert was amazing, with gorgeous lapin cherries and a pistachio crust. Our very sweet waitress surprised us glasses of delicious Batasiola Moscato d'Asti, to acknowledge our birthdays--the perfect end to another perfect meal at Campagnolo!
One last thing...we really took our time with this meal, but even though we were the only diners left in the restaurant, we never felt rushed or unwelcome.
