“Best Sushi I have had in Vancouver”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

My wife and I decided to stop in here last night on our way to the Commadore Ballroom for a concert just thinking we would get a quick bite. We left having one of the best sushi experiences ever and we go for sushi quite a bit (once every 2 weeks) Great service and great food! The presentation was excellent as well. I found the prices very good too. We wished we were not so rushed to go to the show as we would have tried a few more items and tried some more sake. We will have to go back and sample some more off their great menu.

“As good as the best in Japan!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013 via mobile

We have lived and visit Japan frequently and always miss Japanese food that isn't just the sushi bars found abroad. This was perfect! The staff is Japanese and guided us well - everything was inventive, super fresh and very reasonably price. You MUST try the salmon tartare - a beautiful melange of the freshest salmon with nori chips . We also had the Tuna isobi, Local tuna and salmon sashimi ( twice it was so good!) Big eye tuna sashimi, Agedashi tofu, Beef asparagus
and Sockeye Salmon teriyaki. The engumai junmai yamahai sake
Was also great - this bistro is a must if you are in Vancouver.

“Good sushi, great service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2013

We went here on Xmas day because it was one of the few places that were open (we were visiting from away and love sushi, so it was perfect). The spicy tuna was amazing. The server was hilarious and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely go back.

“Superb sashimi”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013

At the suggestion of our hotel, we dined at Shuraku. Wow ! A sashimi platter to remember, and outstanding sushi also. The place is run with true Japanese hospitality (even though the decor is 99pct western). It was so good we came back two days later for lunch (sashimi again).
Located on Granville, just off Robson ... Quite convenient, but in a 'high traffic' area.
Limited wine list but rather extensive list of sake. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone. Excellent value for money.

“Great Sushi”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

The sushi was delicious! Their sake menu is rather extensive which is great if you know about sake. But if you just want some house sake at a reasonable price they don't have it and if they do have reasonable priced sake its buried in the menu. I do wish the waitress had been more helpful on finding a sake. We ended up with Beer instead.
