We saw many orcas-the Naturalist -Wilma -was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They provide blankets and sunscreen and their hot drinks are complimentary. They guarantee that you will see whales, and if you don’t, you get to go again at no additional charge. Highly recommended.

Hello,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a great review. It is much appreciated. We do wish for our guests to be as comfortable as possible so there are always blankets, hats, gloves and complementary hot drinks on our catamaran and cruiser (ocean magic) vessels.

Thank you for your recommendation and we can't wait to have you back with us again!

Fantastic experience on a very large comfortable and well equipped vessel. The team on the boat were fantastic, knew their stuff and went above and beyond to engage and inform us. The company has a very good ‘no whales’ policy - you come back free! We did just see a pair of whales through a fog, but the captain invoked the no wales policy anyway.

There are lots of options for different cruise/fly options between Vancouver and Victoria. The experience was great value and we had a great time.

Paid almost $300 USD for a half-day whale watching tour. Although we saw the backs and fins of some Orca whales along with some lazy seals on a rock and a bald eagle, not sure the cost was fully justified. Most of the time was spent riding at high speed on the boat, which admittedly looked quite safe. Yet, I can’t say this was the whale watching experience we expected for our first time. “Been there, done that” as they say and probably never again in Vancouver.

Hello,

We are very sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with our service. Every tour is unique in terms of what wildlife we observe and how much of the whales we see. Currently, it is federally mandated that all vessels must stay 200m away from killer whales and this will increase to a distance of 400m effective June 1st.

We take these regulations very seriously as not to influence the behavior of the marine animals in any way. We want to respect the fact that these are wild animals and we will remain impartial observers.

As we mentioned, every tour is unique and BC is a world renowned location for whale watching and offers beautiful scenery and a variety of wildlife. We want to share this with our guests that come to take a tour with us from all corners of the globe.

This tour far exceeded my expectations. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of some whales, but about an hour in we came upon a small pod and got to watch them for about an hour. Our guide stayed on the upper deck with us and explained the behaviors they were exhibiting. She was extremely knowledgeable and familiar with this particular group of whales. We also saw sea lions and a bald eagle. There was an enclosed cabin in case of inclement weather which looked warm and inviting.

We saw great whales! Unusually great whiles! And that was great! But the experience was amazing, very knowledgeable staff like Selena and Wilma. Great enthusiasm and so personable. and captain Anthony was great and worked to find us both orcas and humpbacks. And sea lions. And Bastian was helpful also. Our weather was great but it was still very very chilly. Even though on land it was warm and comfortable. So I recommend you dress warm enough, and bring a sandwich or snack or something. There are things like granola bars and crackers and drinks on the boat but you might want something more. We brought goodies from A Bread Affair Bakery down the street. The farmers market is close also, on Grandville island. That is worth seeing as well as 10,000 Villages also down the street. I wish I had better whale photos to show you, but trust me they were there and they were awesome.
