We participated in the whale watching tour at the end of the season and had a great opportunity to observe humpback whales, bald eagles, dolphins, seals and sea lions. We were concerned about difficulty finding the whales this time of year, but they were there and came close enough to the boat for us to observe them. The views of Vancouver are also gorgeous from the boat. The boat had an open top area as well as a covered inner area for passengers and they accept up to 75 passengers per trip. While the weather was starting to get cool as our tour was at the end of October, the crew provided blankets and the sun was warm on our faces; we recommend wearing layers according to the season as it will be cooler on the boat than on land. The crew was knowledgeable and courteous, and answered all questions. There was a restroom on the boat and a small snack bar. While there were many crew in different sections of the boat, they did not use a microphone system, so hearing the crew in some locations on the boat could be a challenge for someone with hearing impairment. Recommend discussing with the crew prior to departure as they were very accommodating.
