My wife and I stayed night of 2nd July . The Shangri la is one of the best hotels in Vancouver with excellent staff and a great location . We have stayed a few times over the years and I am always impressed .

Harvard Alumni Group Reunion from different countries. We enjoyed excellent service; good staff, good housekeeping, great restaurant and great weather. Location is centrally very convenient and enjoyed a lot of walking too.

We stayed for 2 nights but have experienced the great service from the bell
Captain who was helpful with our unusual luggage of a “box” (they took good care of it and located it immediately when we were leaving); the receptionist who was very helpful with our requests (less minute addition of a sin who stayed over and wanted to leave the hotel after us); the Asst F&B Manager and waitress who served us so well at Market (which served the freshest food); and the fitness centre which is spacious and well equipped including rollers, mats and gym balls). Every staff was attentive and obliging. The hotel is less than 200 rooms and we received service that was fast and good. When we were leaving in the morning, the whole process of calling for the bell captain to collect our bags to leaving the hotel took less than 10 mins. The taxi was loaded up and waiting for us (with our box) when we arrived at the lobby. It was such a good experience that we wouldn’t want to stay with anyone else by Shangrila.

As someone who has stayed in hotels for over 40 years now, I can be critical of service. This hotel takes you back to the '50s when it comes to service but not when it comes to the amenities they offer. Shangri-La Vancouver has become my standard hotel when I'm in Vancouver going forward and I will look for them in other cities I visit because of the great experience I had here. From check-in, concierge, maid service, restaurant offerings and all the other extra's you get in your room (Nespresso Coffee Machine), the water they deliver every day, nice notes from maid service- you will not be disappointed. I just can't say enough, except it was the best experience I've had staying in a hotel. Thanks to everyone who made my stay perfect!

As usual, no disappointment when visiting a Shangri-la. Excellent service from arrival until departure. Any issue one report is immediately dealt with. Travelling as a family of 4 requiring connecting rooms, the Shangri-la is the best, with a lobby like connection. The rooms are spacious and quiet, and the bathrooms excellent (with 2 basins)! We always revert back to Shangri-la.
