We only stay in five star hotels and this was by far above and beyond the rest. Location is great! Staff are amazing, facilities are the best with all the most advanced and user friendly. Great value!

I recommand you to choose this hotel in Vancouver.
Very nice lobby where you can meet the chief concierge (from France) who will give you very good advice to visit Vancouver and I'm not saying that because I'm french!
Fireplace and fresh cut flowers in the lobby.
We had a deluxe room with breakfast included at the Market by Jean Georges (3rd floor) and wi-fi access in our room. The room was very well furnished and the bathroom was increadible ! (we had a television in the luxury mirror!)
For french speaking people, you can't see TV5 Monde but only Radio Canada.
This is the best hotel in Vancouver in Vancouver's tallest building. (61 floors)
The hotel is on the 15 bottom floors so you can't have the great view which is reserved for the very rich people living in the upper floors.
What is nice is that you can meet the people who are living in the building in the swimming pool, hot tab or in the fitness centre.
Some of them are nice and you can have a nice conversation with them, others are the "new rich" and don't know anything about history, geography or european countries. It's quite funny to discover that.
This is a very nice place to stay and you will be confortable and sleep well in this hotel.
This will be an hotel we will keep in mind for the rest of our life.

From the service, to the perfect location in downtown Vancouver; to the staff that serves their guests we absolutely love staying here. We travel a great deal to Vancouver on business and the Shangri-La is unquestionably our number one choice. We have yet to check into a room that honestly didn't feel like we were the first guests to have occupied the room as the rooms are that immaculate. The staff is very friendly and welcoming from check-in, to the outstanding quality of service and food offered at the various restaurants...you won't be disappointed....l

I recently stayed at the Shangri-la hotel in Vancouver. My wife and are regular visitors to Bangkok and always stay at the Shangri-la so we are well aware that the quality and service levels are of the highest standards. The Vancouver hotel maintains those standards.
One point to offer- there are no harbour views from the rooms as the top floor is the 15th and the hotel is surrounded by other buildings.
That said, the rooms are beautifully designed and offer a great experience.
I have attached photos.

After much consideration and as a fan of shangri-la hotels I decided to stay here for 6 nights - breakfast and internet access included. The hotel is quite new and has a chi spa (not visited). The hotel is accessed via an underground driveway with lift access to the lobby and concierge and lifts to the rooms.

The rooms are very well appointed including L'occitane toiletries, TV screen in the bathroom mirror, black out electronic blinds, and mood settings and dimmer switches on the lights, and an ipod docking station. The room also had a Nespresso coffee machine which was a great idea and very welcome!! The TV menu was very comprehensive and the screen was a large flat panel.

The fitness centre is located adjacent to the spa and has a good range of Technogym cardio and weights machines and free weights, as well as a Technogym Kinesis station.

While breakfast was included in the room rate I selected, I was unaware that it was not a buffet and only included food up to a set amount. However there are plenty of alternatives very close to the hotel including Urban Fare next door - a grocery/takeaway/eatin store, many Starbucks, and an IGA store a few blocks away.

The concierge was very helpful and efficient, and assisted me with ideas for activities and changing and making bookings for tours etc.

The location of the hotel is good although if you choose to take the skytrain to/from the airport, the closest stations require walking a few blocks.
