This is always a wonderful chain of hotels. They have a super staff, located right down town. I have stayed at their sister hotel in Hon Kong. Try it you will be back. Great location

This is a low end Shangri-La among the hotels in the chain. The facilities are bare bone, We had 2 suites, one of them was tiny. For breakfast, we had to wait for half hour to get a table, then wait another half hour to get food. Service in the hotel is mostly indifferent. Room smells.

I am very disappointed that we clearly failed to meet your expectations. We are a smaller size hotel in the Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts group, with 119 rooms. However, we often receive compliments on our guestrooms and amenities.
I am sorry that you had to wait for breakfast due to busy volume at the time. This is not the way we normally operate. The smell you are referring to is due to our new carpets (new carpet smell) which we installed in all our guestrooms recently.
Thank you for your feedback and I sincerely hope that you will give us another try on your next visit, to Vancouver to experience the true Shangri-La hospitality.

Shangri La is always my husband and my favourite hotel when going to Vancouver. Spacious & clean guest room, great staff, yummy breakfast / dinner, best location to hang around, dine or shop in downtown! Have tried other brand hotels but we think Shangri La is the best in Vancouver!!! It is highly recommended and we would definitely return!!

So for our romantic Vacations my husband and I have always splurged and gone to the Four Seasons.... But I'll be honest... Shangri-La BLOWS four Seasons OUT OF THE WATER!! We were amazed at the details in each room.. luxury at its finest! The room was spacious and clean, every staff we interacted with was phenomenal! The front desk staff with extremely friendly and made us feel like we were valued and important, not just another guest walking through the door. Rodolfo at the Concierge was extremely helpful and friendly, and gave us awesome suggestions for Dinner and Breakfast. Even though the hotel is downtown on busy Georgia Street the ambiance of the hotel is very relaxing. The location of Hotel cant be beat... walking distance to great shopping and restaurants... everything is just minutes from the Hotel!! Thank you Shangri-La for an amazing time!! I am now trying to convince my Husband we need a Bathroom Mirror TV!!

Good sized rooms considering it is in the centre of Vancouver with a nice big bathroom (including a large bathtub). The breakfast included is table service rather than a buffet which made a nice change. Nice outdoor patio area with a small swimming pool and hot tub.

Shangri-La Vancouver understand the fine touches of luxury. Most luxury hotels give amazing service and have fabulous amenities. This hotel brings the fine touches to the next level. Everything is done in top quality and is very well thought out. As you progress through your room, you begin to notice that all things have been considered.... location of amenities, quality of fine points, electronics etc. Great location, amazing service, excellent views of the city, quite and relaxing. All one requires and desires!
