By far the best hotel I've stayed at yet - where to start? The soft jasmine scent you smell throughout the lobbies (there are 2) is sooo nice - I couldn't get over how good it smelled. Then you take in the stunning design - the multiple chandeliers, oversized artwork, beautiful leather sofas and sandstone tile with Asian inspired decor and artwork. The staff are all very attentive and happy and dressed in authentic inspired Asian outfits which add so much character to the stay. The corridors are well appointed with very nice wallpaper and sconces - everywhere in the hotel is extremely clean and well kept. And the rooms - beautiful! Floor to ceiling windows, I had a corner room which had excellent views of downtown Vancouver. All the blinds and drapes are automated so with the touch of a button you instantly bring the outdoors in. I had 2 balconies as well - one off the bedroom/living room area one off the bathroom. The palette is neutral and soothing - rich rosewood panelling with taupe and creamy fabrics and carpeting. Dark wood furniture and light upholstery fabric creates a nice contrast. The bathroom is all done in Calcutta marble tile - white with grey striking veining, gorgeous. A deep soaker tub and separate shower and furniture looking vanity piece. The bathroom mirror even has a tv incorporated so you can watch while getting ready - they really thought of everything. They provide the best L'Occtaine care products and the white monogrammed towels smelled so fresh and clean. I am surprised this hotel is not rated #1 on trip advisor - especially since it's the only 5 diamond hotel in Canada - which is apparently very hard to get and a huge accomplishment for the establishment. Overall nothing but great things to say and can't wait to go back!!!
