Five very enjoyable nights at L'hermitage, Vancouver. Large, clean, comfortable room, well-located, within walking distance of most tourist activities and reasonably priced. What more could we ask for? Oh yes, did I mention the impeccabale service offered by all staff we came in contact with? Thank you L'hermitage, we will be back.

What a brilliant hotel,in a great location. We checked in @ 10.00 am after our Cruise to Alaska & whilst our room was not ready we were offered a cup of tea in lovely surroundings on the 5 th floor, our luggage was looked after & we were given a map of Vancouver & advised our romm would be ready @ 3.00pm.
When we returned @ 4.00 pm,our room /suite was ready & our luggage was already in the room/suite.
And what a room/suite?.Absolutely Awesome,beautiful furniture,amazing space,a great & comfortable bed,it's own Master Chef type kitchen & it's own separate business area.
Unbelievable & without any doubt, the best hotel room /suite we have ever stayed in & we strongly recommend any one going to Vancouver who wants a classy quality room/suite close to the Centre of Vancouver to stay @ L'Hermitage Hotel.
It was so enjoyable we purchased some breakfast items, just around the corner & enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in our room/ suite.
Nor was it expensive & was booked for us by our travel agent from Flight Centre Brighton (Lea Roch) otherwise we would never have enjoyed this marvellous establishment.

Room Tip: Our room/ suite was @ the front of the building overlooking the street & was quite & just aw...

Our family of three stayed here two nights at the end of our visit to Vancouver. As soon as you walk into the lobby you are welcomed by the very friendly staff. We were told that our room had been upgraded for our stay and boy was it ever! When we walked into our "room" we all were very impressed. Our nicely decorated suite had a full kitchen area, living space with a sleeper sofa and two chairs, a small balcony with chairs and a nice bedroom with a king bed. We even had a stack laundry closet. The bathroom was nice but surprisingly smallish compared to the rest of the space. Everything was very clean. Our room overlooked the pool area, which was nice to listen to as it had fountain-like features. Be aware that on the street side, there is a major construction project going on. Being on the pool side, we didn't hear any noise from it.

The hotel is in a great location, with an IGA market around the corner. We had items for simple breakfasts and happy hour in our room after shopping there.

Raymond the concierge is a wealth of knowledge and so pleasant to talk to. All of the staff was a delight.

We had a snafu with the turn down service requested for 9 pm so when we returned after a late night out, our daughter's sleeper was not prepared. The problem was fixed as soon as we called the lobby. No problem with that the second night - in fact it was done by 6 pm! A little early but better than not at all. Two other minor issues were fixed immediately when requested: the locked utility closet light had been left on so it was visible all night the first night, and coffee was not restocked the second day. Again, minor problems that were quickly addressed. Note that the thermostat is locked - we think ours was 12 hours off because during the day, the room was nice and cool, but late in the evening, it was noticeably warmer. If you stay here, make sure it is set to your liking. Had we stayed one more night, I would have asked to have it changed.

All in all, this is a great hotel in a great location and we would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Pool side rooms will probably be quieter as construction on the street might be an issue.

We chose this hotel because of all the wonderful reviews that we read on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. It was not that it is a very nice hotel, which it clearly is, it was about the attentive service. The concierge in particular helped us with our plans since we were only in Vancouver for a day. He guided us in the right direction along with coupons and even gave a customs form form so we could save time at the train the next morning. They called a cab for us that was waiting for us at 5:29 AM. This is clearly a top run hotel.

Room Tip: It looks like all rooms are good. Since it is a downtown hotel there is not much of a view.

Hotel is centrally located so is easy to walk to most of the sites. It is also easy access to the trolley which takes you beyond where you would be able to walk.
We had a boutique room with a king size bed and a cozy fireplace. Room is very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is very large and clean with plenty of plush towels. We had a room that faced the construction but rarely heard anything.
We had breakfast here daily. The breakfast came with our room but if it doesn't for your package it will cost you $19.95 which I think is high for what it is. The buffet was small but the items were all tasty and nicely presented. They will also make you a plain omelette or sunny side up eggs. The service here was outstanding!
The service at this hotel was very good. We had a bit of a problem on arrival and the manager took care of it promptly.
I would go to this hotel again and recommend it to others.

Stayed at L'Hermitage with wife and kids (13 and 10) for 5 days and stay was absolutely perfect! First impression is that everyone including manager, front desk, valet, concierge, housekeeping, etc. are eager to offer there assistance and make sure your stay is the most pleasant and comfortable. Everyone was fantastic! As to the property, it is nicely decorated and maintained. The buidling has both hotel and residences components and has a "condo" type feel and very nice. The interior hallways had a very rich, comfortable feel. We stayed in one bedroom condo, with den. It had bedroom, living area, den (with door), full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer and spacious balcony. It was an excellent room for a family of 4. Also, although the hotel does not have any "roll-away" beds, they were able to locate for us an air mattress to place in the den and as a result my 13 year old slept in the pullout sofa in the living room and my 10 year old was able to sleep separately in the den. As to location, it is a short walk to high-end shops and stores in the downtown area (Burrard Street), Yaletown (trendy restaurant / bar area) and Gastown. A word of caution, however, Richards street seems to be a dividing line -- or there is at least a sketchy (drug infested) area as you make your way to/from Gastown just south or east of it. I wish staff would have advised us of surrounding areas, as we had previously comfortably walked towards Yaletown, Burrard, etc. without any concern, but it was a scary walk back from Gastown with 2 small kids. Also, there is a lot of construction in the area including directly across from Hotel and we were first concerned, but the windows were double-paned and it was not a bother. Finally, Quattro or Q4 (the Hotel restaurant) is phenomenal!

We chose this hotel when it was number one on TripAdvisor. We had a corner room with two walls of windows on the 5th floor. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were right outside our room, and we used them each day. We had the breakfast one morning, and it was disappointing: very expensive for a small buffet; eat breakfast somewhere else where you can get more for your money. The free bikes at the hotel were our favorite part of our stay. We biked to/around Stanley Park and to/around Granville Island. Make use of the bikes because the city is very bike-friendly. We walked everywhere else because everything was close by; the hotel location is fantastic. We also took the free shuttle to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, and that was a great experience as well. Be prepared to spend a lot of money on this hotel and in Vancouver in general. The experiences we had and the memories we made were worth the money though. This hotel is in a large metropolitan area, so traffic and construction noise are to be expected. If city noises bother you, then stay further out of the city.
