A three day stay at this wonderful hotel was nowhere near enough. Our room was wonderful with a huge soaker tub in the bathroom that had sliding doors that you could open so that you could watch movies from the tub - heaven!

The staff were very friendly and gave great suggestions of things to do around Vancouver, places to eat and ways to get there. We loved having a few rides in the Bentley with the wonderful driver Jim.

In the interests of full disclosure, on one of the days, the morning cleaning staff left our door open (you have to pull it hard to close it, if you just swing it behind you it doesn't shut) but luckily nothing went missing...

My first stay at the hotel did not disappoint. THe staff was all first-rate, friendly, but not over the top. I was in a room on the 8th floor facing the outdoor terrace. I thought it would be too noisy, but suprisingly, the noise was not intrusive. The restaurant, Hawskworth, lived up to, and even exceeded, all the raving reviews. Quite possibly the best meal I have ever had. The hotel is convenient to everything, including being only 1 block away from the train to the airport, as well as all the shopping and restaurants one could ask for. This is a hotel I will come back to again and again.

Room Tip: I would ask for a higher floor room next time.

Staff went the extra mile, ambience excellent, rooms beautiful, location perfect, a must do in Vancouver. This is one of the best hotels in the world we have stayed in. We are new to this chain of hotels but will definitely stay there again.

This hotel excelled at saying no with a most solicitous manner and a nice fake smile. I asked for an upgrade because my friend had received one - no. I asked for late checkout - no. But they did try quite hard to sell me on the idea of having the hotel driver take me to Stanley Park in the hotel Bentley as they couldn't 'bear' the idea of having me walk there with my baby in the sun. It is a 20 minute walk! Or have the hotel driver take me to the airport. For the prices they charge they could also have installed double glazing to stop the noise from the street waking you in the morning. The food however is delicious though the late night room service menu is the dullest I've seen. The room was clean, bed comfy and the decor lovely. That said, I will not be back as I didn't like their attitude.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this hotel and echo all of the positive comments. Our only problem was related to the parking. We had to circle the block -- in heavy, rip-your-hair-out traffic -- before I just guessed where to pull in for valet parking since it was unmarked. When we checked out, we learned for the first time that parking was more than $40+ a night. I wouldn't have minded this if it had been disclosed to us when we checked in, but it was an unwelcome surprise at the end of our stay and left a bad impression. Otherwise everything was 5 star all the way. We particularly loved the oversize bathtub and rain shower, and the very helpful concierge who pointed us to the Vancouver Bay ferries, which were a wonderful way to see the skyline and get around town. We'll definitely be back some day!

Last year, my daughter and I vacationed in Vancouver and stayed at the Rosewood for four absolutely amazing nights. As soon as we returned home from our vacation, all we could talk about was how wonderful this hotel is. This summer, we decided to stay six nights and it still did not feel long enough! The Rosewood is in the middle of downtown Vancouver, so we could easily walk to Stanley Park and Canada Place, or to Yaletown and Gastown. Some of the top restaurants in the city are only a five minute walk away. We never had to take a taxi! The rooms are modern, posh, and luxurious. Everything looks brand new. Our extremely plush room had a desk, sitting area, king bed, and huge TV. The bathroom was equipped with a rain shower, soaker tub, AND heated bathroom floors. Talk about heaven! Some mornings, we had trouble dragging ourselves to our next adventure because we wanted to relax in our gorgeous hotel all day. With the Bel Cafe, the Hawksworth restaurant, and gourmet room service, we easily could have! The atmosphere is so warm and friendly that we felt instantly at home. All of the staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. That is the one word to describe this hotel: Perfect.

Located within one block of Granville and major shopping and tourism this hotel was completely refurbished from its historic roots. It is now a magnificent destination with beautiful stone and marble throughout the lobby. The rooms are very modern and clean with upgrades throughout. The lobby bar and main restaurant are exceptional. Their wine and whisky selection and knowledge of them was exceptional with excellent service.
Well deserving of a 5 star rating.
