“Great oysters”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

Great ambiance, service and food! We had lunch there twice! The differently prepared oysters were tops and Oyster Rockefeller the best! Better than expensive dinner at La Pointe or lunch at the Shelter. Try it and we think you will be impressed!

“Great Food & Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

Wonderful meal, large portions, nice ambiance and the background music was actually in the background (rare these days). The waiter was attentive and efficient. It was cold and rainy out so the baked onion soup was a welcome and tasty warmup. The Halibut Bawden Bay was delicious, and the creamy seafood linguine was loaded with salmon, shrimp, scallops and other yummy seafood bits. The servings were so big we had leftovers for lunch the next day. The wine menu had a good range of product and prices.

The menu prices seem high at first glance, but they are fairly reasonable considering the quality of the food and the portion sizes. Highly recommended.

Reservations necessary even in September.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

Tofino is a bit out of the way but it's worth the journey for the lovely views AND this restaurant! We've been in Canada two weeks on holiday and this is definitely one of the best meals. We had the delicious rack of ribs, really spicy and, as promised, completely tender and fell off the bone - you really can eat this with a knife and fork, no fingers needed! Also had the New York steak with Dungeness Crab (both local - the steak refers to the cut, not the origin!) with mashed (smashed they call it) potatoes and veg. Asparagus was spot on! Dessert was a chocolate cake passed down 3 generations and hedgehog ice cream (hazelnut chocolate - both delicious!) and an equally delicious warm fresh fruit crumble with locally made ice cream. Highly recommended!

Wonderful food and such friendly staff. We only wish we had been in Tofino longer to go back again. The best meal we had on our holiday in the Rockies and Vancouver.

Great, friendly service, and absolutely delicious food. We had such a great meal, we came back for a second meal later in our week in Tofino. Loved the hot pot.
