Beautiful Beach, most of which connects to untouched land, no resorts. This is the main learning to surf area and where many surfers do go. Good walk in from parking off of Maltby Road.

There can seldom be anything wrong with beaches. We surfed here end of July 2017 and it's a long beach with multiple surfing companies conducting lessons simultaneously. There's free parking in two lots adjacent to each other about 10 minutes walk from the beach. We entered through Maltby Road as directed by our surfing school. I know there is another entrance through Cox Bay Beach Road or something. Not sure if they lead to the same beach.

First time in Tofino. Great surf, awesome vibe, cannot wait to come back to the LBLR..great sunset and even better walks in the morning

we had surf lessons here and then returned with rental surf boards and frisbees. Nice surf, beautiful beach. Worth staying on this beach !!

Cox bay is mainly a surfing beach as most of the surf schools go here to teach new people it also gets more experienced surfers since it's generally good surf there.
