Owner description: Considered by many to be one of the best boardwalk hikes around, you will be immersed in the natural serenity of the temperate rainforest. You can take the easy stairs to the beach, where you can gaze at the gentle waves crashing in. During low tide, an inviting passage presents itself so you can make your way to a small island where you may find bald eagles soaring above. Schooners Cove is nothing less than invigorating and rejuvinating. Truly a picturesque adventure.

You access this beach via a 1km rainforest boardwalk! It is a truly stunning beach with amazing waves, beautiful sand and typical grey driftwood. I can highly recommend a visit!

Breathtaking views are waiting at the end of this trail. Only a 10 min walk and not a challenge at all.

This was an awesome trail!!! It had everything (if you hit it at low tide). A great hike through the pacific rainforest (stunning)! Then an awesome, awesome beach to explore. You have to go at low tide...I have never seen so many huge starfish, sea anemones, etc... So much fun to explore all the tidal pools! If you are going to the Tofino area this is a must...especially for kids!

This hike is fully boardwalked and goes through an amazing rainforest (with a fair amount of stairs). We loved the fresh air, big trees, and almost fantasy-like appearance of the forest. The trail opens up onto a beautiful cove. This is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

Great boardwalk hike through rain forest leading to a wonderful cove - the rain forest extends to the edge of the beach - fantastic. Once you negotiate the many drift logs at the edge of the forest the beach opens up to an island that is accessible when the tide is out with many rock pools to explore and investigate. The sandy beach is lovely for walks along the sea shore or just sit and watch the world go by.
