Owner description: Rainforest Trail has two routes, A & B, both of which fully engulf you in the temperate rainforest full of gigantic western red cedars and western hemlocks. Sparking a sensation of zen, you will be overcome with the nostalgia of your childhood memories, ready to make more. Scan the upper canopy for birds, listen to the trickle of water and smell the life of this highly productive forest. Trail A is located on the opposite side of the highway from the parking lot. Trail B starts from the parking lot.

We loved this trail on the boardwalk through the massive trees and greenery. The ferns are amazing. You feel like there should be fairies lurking under them. We all loved it. I want to let people know, however, if there are any mobility issues, there are many, many stairs scattered throughout the walk and sometimes there aren't any handrails. My 78-year old mother made it through, but we underestimated how many stairs there were. We all enjoyed this walk--it feels as if you're in another world, totally separate from the outside.

This trail through the old growth forest is magical. Everyone talks in whispers and as you listen to ravens calliing to each other and swooshing through the forest you feel you are transported back 100's of years.

It is a lovely walk, but it is little different than a half dozen other walks in the park that take you down to the beach (e.g., schooners cove). The interpretive signs are not informative enough to make this walk stand out from all the others.

Visited aug 13 - boardwalk in rough shape - in need of some work badly, I'm 230 lbs and feel as though I am going to fall through the rotted, unstable planks. Beautiful old and new groth forest, nice creek.
Info signs are missing in two points throughout, so read the first ones well.
No visible wildlife. Filthy bathrooms.
Enjoy!

Still a breath of fresh air, still clean, still not crowded. Loved it as much now as I did 10 years ago.
